I never said I was 'an accomplished amateur photographer'. Please explain.Don’t forget that Vixen is also a one in a thousand intellect, a scientist, an author and an accomplished amateur photographer. I’m sure she’s accomplished in many many other fields of human endeavour.
She is truly a genuine polymath.
Any particular reason for your spiteful and malicious comment? (And wholly untrue, needless to say.)Was this in your job as a low-grade member of staff at a wine merchant's, or in your job as a low-grade member of staff at an insolvency agency, or in your job as a middle-management accountant?

LinkVixen said:The moon's surface is actually very bright so simply taking a camera designed for earthly parameters - depth of field, focal point, contrast, etc., - is going to be extremely tricky on the moon, especially with thick gloves, limited head movement, resulting in limited field of vision - seems rather optimistic in 1969. Who remembers compact cameras? Awful! Absolutely awful. At least with single lens reflex (SLR) photography, one had some control over the quality but then ... problems with film...developing...keeping slides and negatives in good condition. It's not hard to see why Allen was curious about the Apollo photography. Hardly makes him a scoundrel.
I never said I was a professional photographer. I was a keen hobbyist, contrary to Foster Zygote's obvious assumption only macho guys knew anything about the specifics. You do realise that we can still see what you have posted in the thread, don't you?
It was your claim, not GlennB's.Is there any particular reason you keep spreading your malicious lie?
Er, being an amateur photographer is hardly 'an accomplished amateur photographer', implying accolades and public recognition. That I was an amateur photographer is a simple neutral statement of fact and not bragging as implied by Jesse Cutler.Link

I have never claimed to see through walls. And yes, I witnessed the Downing Street bombings. Tough titties if you don't like it. I note you don't take the p!ss out of the other two individuals who were also there. So maybe it is a case of certain guys enjoying upsetting women, as seems to be a popular sport on social media. It was your claim, not GlennB's.

Not spiteful or malicious at all. I was merely wondering which of your low and middling jobs had afforded you the opportunity to write and present arguments to very senior judges. Well?
Oh, please. Chief Bottle Washer is an extremely important job.
BTW the cleaning lady is just as much a high-grade person as anyone else before you start your ludicrous categorising of people as being 'low-grade'.
Just to keep score here...
Roger Waters thinks the WTC was brought down by controlled demolition, and that Israel (re: JEWS) did it. He participated in a panel in NYC which claims Israel was behind 9-11. At no point were facts involved.
This thread has devolved into a inquest by a British national regarding the death of his brother, who was killed when WTC collapsed.
The only things they have in common are hubris, prejudice, and a refusal to accept the body of evidence that Al Qaeda hijacked four commercial jetliners and crashed them into three targets, and a field in PA.
In the case of Waters, 9-11 fits into his antisemitic world view as the very first 9-11 CT came from a French moron in 2005, who claimed Mossad was behind the attacks. 9-11 Truth and A&ETruth both have had an undercurrent of antisemitism running throughout most of their claims. In normal people land this is a red flag, but for Waters it just feeds his ego-based hatred of Jews.
In the case of this inquest, it is a waste of time, money, and effort. We know who attacked the WTC, and we know why the buildings fell. The inquest will change nothing, nor will it illuminate anything new. In this case it is not about the truth, it's about needing to blame someone else other than the guilty parties for the loss of his brother.
Bottom line: Both men are wrong, and are wasting time and resources to feed their own egos.
Start a thread on that topic if you are genuinely interested.Evasion duly noted. And let me know when the cleaning lady is permitted to make legal arguments in front of very senior judges.
I can't speak for Glenn, but what motivates me is malice. Is there any particular reason you keep spreading your malicious lie? Do you get a kick out of it? Let me know what motivates you.
I am still not sure how Roger Waters is 'antisemitic'.

I am of the firm belief that antisemites require a beating. Waters claims he's not antisemitic, but then ran onstage images of the star of David with $ signs, which is antisemitic. It feeds his anti-Israeli stance. Where was his work supporting the Irish in Belfast during the troubles? You know, the same theme, similar oppression, similar terrorism, similar counter-terror responses. Where was Roger? When the Yazidis and Kurds were being massacred (actual genocide), where was Roger? When the Serbs were murdering Muslims in Croatia and Kosovo, where was Roger? But what do you mean by 'antisemitic' because it seems to be a term that is losing its meaning, like the word 'woke'. It has become a term of insult, rather like, 'twit' or 'idiot'.
Until we have proof he was a spy for Israel, it kind of is antisemitic. It feeds into the "World Jewish Conspiracy" nonsense. That Epstein was a Jew has nothing to do with Israel. He's an American from New York. So, if one abhors the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein, for example, does that make you 'antisemitic' being as is claimed he was likely a spy for Israel (given his numerous passports)?
If he's backed by Waters then he is a fellow antisemite. Why is it 'antisemitic' for Campbell backed by Waters to want to understand how his brother died?
No, "accomplished" just means being reasonably good, or highly competent, at doing something, no accolades or public recognition necessary.Er, being an amateur photographer is hardly 'an accomplished amateur photographer', implying accolades and public recognition.
You were implying expertise in photography. That I was an amateur photographer is a simple neutral statement of fact and not bragging as implied by Jesse Cutler.

Why is Roger cool with mass murder by foriegn governments unless Israel does it?
How is this a mystery?

He is blinded by hatred. His brother's death is a simple matter he has chosen to hide behind to advance a politcal agenda (like every other conspiracy nut-job).
As good as any camera club amateur. Bear in mind, the context was people asking me what did I know about night photography and shutter speed (pre-digital). It was not braggadocio as Jesse Custer claims, it was within the context of the discussion and purely factual; neither good nor bad.No, "accomplished" just means being reasonably good, or highly competent, at doing something, no accolades or public recognition necessary.

I'm perfectly prepared to accept that you weren't any good at it, though.
'Within the context of the discussion', you were being asked to estimate the combination of aperture, shutter speed and ISO/ASA required to capture stars in the night sky, and being asked to compare that to the combination of aperture, shutter speed and ISO/ASA required to capture a daylight scene. But you were unable do that simple task 'as good as any camera club amateur', in fact you weren't able to do it at all.As good as any camera club amateur. Not many camera club afficionados have to worry about albedo zero-one-one.'Within the context of the discussion', you were being asked to estimate the combination of aperture, shutter speed and ISO/ASA required to capture stars in the night sky, and being asked to compare that to the combination of aperture, shutter speed and ISO/ASA required to capture a daylight scene. No, you're not. Even a camera club amateur would have been able to correctly answer the sorts of simple questions that were put to you. A camera club amateur would have immediately known that the dynamic range between stars and a sunlit landscape is too extreme to expect to see both imaged in the same exposure. Yet you went on page after page arguing that the lack of stars was a suspicious anomaly, even claiming that you photographed stars yourself, "no problem".As good as any camera club amateur.
