Now please tell me, how do you propose to force me to accept your number?

We'll just use it, BIN 12345.

What part of that makes it not commerce?I go pick them up.
OK then, let's see your fancy new freemenardian definition of commerce.Using a road to get to a place of commerce is not the same as using them for commerce.
don't give in now rob pal, you've been doing a good job of not commenting on jb's posts and i see you're about to relent. Remember it's driving him wild that you are ignoring him.
I only saw it cause someone quoted it, and it made me laugh.

Generally they are delivered, or I go pick them up. Any commerce I engage i takes place off the roads, not on them. Using a road to get to a place of commerce is not the same as using them for commerce.
Go ahead, that certainly does not force me to use it, or associate with it, does it?
So the question still stands, how do you propose to force me to accept it?
(tasty popcorn)
If they are delivered I would agree but if you pick them up how is that not part of your "job"? I think it a stretch to say getting to a constuction site is not part of the contract to do the job. If you believed in the tax act it would be technically true but since you don't I would say the arrival at the job site is intemately entwined with commerce, unlee you would have gone there regardless of the work you were doing.
I do not get paid for getting to the site. I get paid for the work I do on the site. If I have to get the materials, I get paid for loading and unloading, but not for delivery.

If i'm gonna be your pal and help you out with my perspective you've got to do better than this. One could ask that does commerce start when you accept the job and as such leaving the house and travelling to go do said job is surely part of commerce. This is gonna be hard being on your side.
We don't need you to accept it, we simply need to use it and "associate" you with it.
Same way that CRA "associates" you with a SIN.

One could argue that it starts as soon as you get up. Fact is though my contracts define the work and what I get paid for, and getting out of bed and to the site is not part of it.
How does it get there? If you are loading and unloading, how do you get from the loading point to the unloading point?

I bring it...
