Ed Rob Menard's FOTL Claims

I for one wish Rob all the best. I look forward to him becoming a well know figure and appearing on mainstream news outlets offering his perspective. Imagine how happy we'll all be at being exposed to his teachings; how joyous it will be watching the courts crumble and law and order breaking down. Ever since i was a boy i've wanted it to be like Mad Max, well it could be a reality. Obviously when handing out the roles Rob will be Mad Max but i don't mind being Tina Turner (i've the legs for it see). Imagine his souped up personal conveyance with go faster spoiler and loud hi fi blasting out Simply The Best. Finally we'll be free do do exactly what we want without the man trying to stop us;we'll be able to smoke pot and drink and drive and er......well......er....um.. you know all the things we can't do now because of the man. Bring it on or as Mad Max Mel Gibson shouted in Braveheart, FREEDOM!

Sorry, you wanted to wear old tires as body armour and/or wear a chainmail minidress? :eye-poppi

Agreed, all they need to do is ask Menard the right questions and he will do all the debunking on his own.

For a large majority of the population there is no need to even do anything to debunk the claims. It just isn't something that gets taken seriously because most people's common sense and reason would tell them it's nonsense. So debunking is a non-issue for most people. This is why I don't think a story on it would bother debunking anything. Debunking is needed for those who are sitting on the fence, which is only a small minority.

Look at the stories for example about Harold Camping. None of them bother getting into his reasoning and calculations and the reasoning behind them. It is just reported as a "look what some crazy people believe" type of story. It is taken as given that normal people are not going to believe the claims or even have any doubt whatsoever about the fact that the beliefs are nonsensical. I would imagine reporting on freeman claims to be similar.

But with Camping, there were also stories about how people were getting into massive debt promoting his nonsense, based on their belief that the bills would never come due.

With FoTL, they might be presenting it as, "Look how desperate these people are due to their economic problems. They'll even believe this twaddle!"

Perhaps we should have a little wager or maybe do a Poll! ?

a/ It was all lies anyway, there was never a genuine chance of an interview.

b/ "I chose not to contract with CBC"

c/ "They edited it to make me look like a clown"

d/ He was too stoned to turn up and cannot legally "travel in a personal conveyance".

e/ "Did I tell you about the time the police computer said I'm a freeman and must be left alone? No? Let me tell you a story... I'm a freeman and must be left alone. Cos I have really big IQ and I can prove this because, conveniantly, I had my mental status asessed just a few days ago. I am Wolverine, fear me."

f/ "Shee thish birf catifacut? it hash a .. shhh, thish ish secrit, it hash a number on the back that ish secrit. shhh. It's secrit. You're my beshtest mate you are. See thish number on the .. the back of this burf catificut, its shecret it ish. Shhh. Dont tell noone. Cos its shesckrit. Hey, look at the back of your burf sertificut, it hash a secrit numba. I agree insofar as I doubt the National is going to engage in a detailed refutation that say each of us has a $8 million birth bond. However, Rob might claim that we do, and they might ask him for proof, such as where's your eight million dollars. Or, as I said, if the focus is on the paper-terrorism the other interviews done as part of the segment might refute some of Rob's claims. While you use Camping as an example, the birthers in the United States are also a useful media example. While the media has not delved into every insane conspiracy theory propagated by that group (e.g. a Swiss Philosopher gave the definition for natural born citizen (ten years after the constitution was adopted), Malcolm X was the real father although somehow that too makes the President ineligible) media interviews with people such as Orly Taitz have resulted in some debunking by the media, at least as far as the birth certificate is concerned.

As I said, it very much depends on the angle the National wishes to take with it. I agree with JB that it's very likely that the interviewer will let Rob refute himself with his grandiose claims and inability to demonstrate compelling proof. However, depending on what the segment is entirely about (and it may not all be about Rob or FOTL) they might at least point out the obvious fact that even the forums of the WFS are full of instances of freeman getting thrown into jail for screaming "I don't consent" in the face of a speeding ticket and various equivalent failures.

I predict it hasn't gone too well for mr Menard or he would have been back here by now.

Don't worry, Rob says he did well... I'm a newbie so I can't embed videos or post links but there's a YouTube on the CBC thread at WFS.

Judging by the video, it seems that Ms. Arsenault was asking questions regarding the potential for violence and whether he was a paper terrorist. I wonder if she asked about his ability to give legal advice in BC?

It's a shame that Rob does not concentrate his efforts on change rather than spouting his pseudo-legal arguments.

Hmmm, money without interest!
Not only that but apparently we can create our own money ourselves. I for one would rely more upon a promissory note issued by Robert-Arthur: Menard, Freeman on the land (who is after all in honour) rather than those worthless plastic bills issued by the Bank of Canada.

I want some of that.

Yes I was pondering that, get some of that and invest it in dividend paying stocks!

I have a feeling he hasn't fully thought that one out. Of course ANYONE can ask for money back solely by their good name but you'd be hard pressed to find someone willing to give it to you without interest or some other item of value, dare I say it, something for security - what would be their point in doing so? Islamic banking has a number of ways to do that but they tend to just add in (no fees - All financial transactions must be asset-backed) to replace the lost interest payments.

Please tell us more Menard

I noticed a change in attitude too.

I can not tolerate pretend interviews. They wind me up.

It wasn't an interview. It was, for lack of a better word, an 'infomercial'.

It was no more an interview than Roger Hayes' appearance on TV the other day where he tried to sell his Lawful Bank scam.

Astoundingly and unexpectedly the folks on WFS are saying, about the CBC interview proper, things like;

Corporate media is called that because its owned by the largest corporations. Does anyone really think these same corporations are going to expose the truth of how the game is played or about who runs the show? What are the chances of the truth about any number of topics we discuss here being permitted to air to the masses? I'd say 0%

my money is on pure hitpiece meant to make freemen look like outlaws.

Now, if it were me , I'd fire off a few shots before hand & send CBC the choicest info & videos, including the most recent Dean Clifford, with references to the Constitution Act... (Like they'd let THAT air!)
Then let them misinfomediasses sit in their ****** diapers & diddle themselves into a corner, knowing the truth, but, if they attempt to broadcast it, their allowance would be cut off!!!

Yes. Dean Clifford. YouTube. Awesome research skills there. Putting CBC to shame.
Imbecilles.

Rob says something like "We fight with words".
Wonderful.
Unfortunately watching Menard fight with words is like watching someone play tennis with a pool cue. Embarrassing.
