i think most of the people who left twitter for bluesky were not having these really great and enlightening exchanges of thoughts on the free market ideas. you finally got the website moderated the way you wanted and all the leftists you hated left, now i'd assume all the enlightened and thoughtful exchanges can finally begin. but for some reason they have to follow them to bluesky and read and whine about what they're writing there instead.

There’s no way to complain about a group of people choosing to leave a place they find undesirable and set up their own space to interact without sounding like a bully whining that you don’t have anyone to abuse anymore.

Wherever there aren’t Trump voters would be good places to start.
My current litmus test is Imane Khelif
Here is a typical Bluesky post

There is not a snowball chance in hell I am going to get any truth from this decrepit far left site.

Maybe just use it to talk to friends and share music, art and photographs, maybe tell a few jokes.

Why does it have to be about whatever you call truth?

Andrew Doyle writes brilliantly, I have reached the hasty conclusion that Bluesky is the last refuge for the confused and bewildered democrats.

The 33 year old CEO with a vast lived experience does have an exciting hair style I admit.

It's kind of handy to collide occasionally with truth, it's a bit like gravity, a simple paradigm.

There are lots of places you can use for lots of things. Not everywhere had to be a hotbed of politics and confrontation with Nazis
Especially not when the "confrontation" is more of a meeting of minds.

I wasn't expecting you to agree with Resistance 2.0, but then my question wasn't really about that.

The skeet you quoted might be better posted in the Other Thread.

I'm not sure that "Bluesky is undergoing explosive growth" is really the own some people think it is.

Right. All the oversensitive twits are congregating to their own hermetic bubble. A win for everyone, really.

It really is. Now you're free to spread all the anti-vax and election denial conspiracy theories you want with very little push back.

off topic post and response to that removed

And to get things back on topic, if Bluesky is viewed as a safe space for liberals, it’s no different than the multiple siloed right wing social media platforms, with the exception that liberals don’t whine en masse about their existence.

I'm not whining. I'm laughing. The reason for the jump is not that Twitter censored them; lefties are upset that Twitter stopped muzzling viewpoints they didn't like. Quite a difference.
