Republican Legislators Specifically Told Not To Cooperate With Dems

Btw, assuming the source can't be found can we focus instead on whether this is acceptable, unacceptable if it were true?

Reid's ability to Not Allow Vote and so doing makes you beleive he wants to cooperate?

As to the OP scenario, having all the junior members on your side is meaningless when either sides' leadership can and does deny the voting opportunity.

The truly terrifying thing is that it is likely many of them believe it is for the best for the country. Unfortunately the country they are thinking of is the one they think we had in the 1950's. They are wrong. Very wrong.

Perhaps the Wisconsin/Minnesota party leadership doesn't feel there's enough party cohesion at this time to risk "civil discussion" on an equal footing. Perhaps they have seen things that cause them to believe these discussions would not be carried out in good faith, but you weren't fortunate enough to have NPR feed you their side of the story.

I'm not saying that's the case. I'm saying that it's impossible to distinguish between the two cases, based on the information provided.

It is possible that the Republican woman is lying and that it was not higher ups who cancelled the whole thing but the four Republican women themselves who cancelled the whole thing.

Sorry. I tried last night to find it but I listen to probably 2 hours of NPR a day, every day and can't for the life of me remember the name of the legislator. It would most likely have been MPR, or WPR between 4 and 5 central time but I can't be certain it want an archived show being rerun.

I did not realize how partisan I was on this topic until I removed the party names.

Andy said that Nancy said that Denise said that Rebecca said that Rebecca's older brother said that Rebecca and Denise could not have dinner together. But we cannot find Nancy right now and she is the only one who knows how to contact Denise and Rebecca.

Now I am starting to think "rumors" is too strong a word.
