We all hope that something works. It's a shame that the US has a president stupid enough to think he's qualified to have a scientific opinion before the actual science work has been done.

It's appalling that so much attention is being spent on hydroxychloroquine because some ignoramus thinks it's a miracle drug. There are other more promising things to test.

With only 800,000 infected, gee, only 40,000 died in less than a month - just like the flu? Wait, the flu infects 16,000,000 to 45,000,000 each year and kills in those flu season years, in a year 12,000 to 61,000 deaths -

It appears you failed to do the math, and prefer to make up BS based on cherry-picking and quote-mining.

800,000 cases, 40,000 deaths, that is 5 percent - But is true, is there are 800,000 asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic cases not reported or tested yet, the rate is 2.5 percent. Hopefully 5 times as many, and at 1 percent or less.

one month of 40,000 deaths is not less than the flu, or close to be less.

Are you going to run out with the idiots in Michigan and Ohio and protest social distancing with a confederate flag?

Back to math, suppose 45 million get infected, and it is 1%, like 5 times more infected than we currently know with our 800,000 infected.
Only 450,000 deaths from COVID, vs 61,000 deaths from flu in the worse year (BTW, the 61,000 is an estimate, not reported)

The current 40,000 deaths in the past month from COVID is not an estimate. Whereas yearly death rate from CD 12,000 to 61,000- is an estimate, not reported.

Go ahead, get all the trump cult and Q-nuts running around spreading the virus and overwhelm the hospitals ICUs, and kill some more people before there is a better plan, and greater understanding of the virus.

I see a description of a test that has been developed.

A lot of "could" and "can be useful" and other potential language in terms of how this test might be used.
