Is the title of a "slot" on ITV show This Morning.Everday this coming week.Don't have any more details but I intend to set the video and report here! others may wish to do same.

Anyway here's the gist of the show,its a once a week thing and sadly it features Mia Dolan(our old stalwart Paj!)but happily a decent cynic.In the form of Dr David Lewis(you can google him),it actually went very well,he got in some good points;argued her version of her predictions and wiped the floor with her with his predictions based on personality test the subject filled in.
I will write more detail if there is any interest.But it was usual vague predictions"Health issues....travelling to Spain,blah blah"
How she can call herself psychic is a mystery.Five more weeks and viewers decide wether they think she is psychic.Guess what the outcome will be? :(
 
I think, judging by personal experience, there's a typo in the title: Shouldn't it be "Psychic Is Cynic?"

But I digress.

Hope this skeptic succeeds in convincing the audience. I wouldn't bet on it, though.
 
Ive emailed the producer of the show,but wether they respond is another matter! Mention of the London Bomb should be made from now on when dealing with Psychics(in UK at least)!
Trying to have someone mention Randi's challenge to her next week! :D

Is there any phone-in element?

Interesting side point - psychic ability always seems vaguely protected by the facade of 'entertainment' it exudes.
It seems crass and 'not allowed' to mention serious issues like the bombing to these psychics because that is all too real.
Yet they are happy enough to make very real predictions and offer advice on people's lives.

I actually have a very real personal reason to despise fake psychics at the moment, but that will involve at least a lengthy post elsewhere, and really should warrant its own website. Sufficeth to say - anyone who pretends to know the future when they really don't is scum as far as I am concerned. Fraudulent leeches.
And believe me I want to write a whole load of worse words for you slime.

I saw bits of it, though I got a support call just as the good stuff started :(

I guess it was too much to hope for any kind of double blind target pool test. They wouldn't be able to stretch that to five weeks.

David Lewis looks like a worthy opponent though :)

This is the major problem with this sort of show - proof by voting. You can bet your life that in pubs around the nation people will be stating "It was proven on 'This Morning' that this psychic was real".

Most of the people watching that show will be the sort to be easily fooled by it, most sceptics will be at work doing real jobs...

What you mean their Viagra experiment of a few years ago wasn't submitted to a medical journal? :D

Still the segment sounds interesting and I think I will set my video for it next week.

Done that.But it was a generic email address,I will try to find a direct address for someone.Mia Dolan is the worst example of "psychic" Ive ever seen! She bleats on that she was "tested" on TV and radio.What about the time where she was offered the Randi challenge(albeit by me)she blatantly lied and said she had applied!! Fat useless bint!

Ashley,I can find out the time I think it's around 11-11.30 on Mondays,it may not have a strict time slot though.There is an email address and phone number(cant find this at moment) mystory@thismorning.co.uk.viewers were asked to give their opinions.

She needs shooting.Just watched recording of this morning.How can the producers of this show pay her for drivel like this:"You are going to the dentist!" "The name Peter is relevant " and so on.Dr David Lewis could hardly hide his smug grin whilst Mia must have felt like running away! Get Randi on there and lets have a real test!!!:D
 
I occasionally watch “This Morning” if someone tips me off that they have some nonsense on.

What amazes me, is that they always pick the worst examples of psychics out there :D

They seem intent on promoting any stupid idea (see: Urine Therapy) but do it really badly.

I saw Mia Dolan last week, and all she did was confirm that she has no ability (not even cold reading skills) whatsoever.

I didn’t see it this week. So yes please Azrael, a bit more info.

Oh I see.. now you want more info.From memory-hopefully someone else can help as I taped over it!!
What happens is this Joe Public(JP) has a face to face with Mia and Dr Lewis weeks prior to live show .Dolan looks into JP's aura and writes down some impressions/predictions.
Live studio where JP is on a screen feed from elsewhere,and has to say wether statements that are read to her from Mia Dolan's prior prediction mean anything!
Usual vague garbage,"Dentist visit..a recent filling.Health issues,period pains,headaches.Name of Peter...You are married or in long term relationship(hit on latter)."
After each single prediction JP is asked if its correct.As David Horman said she bombed in spectacular fashion today getting about two hits.Not even "womens problems" helped her!
Dr Lewis has his turn based on some personality test from America(not sure if JP fills one out at face to face) and gets considerable hits.He stresses this is based on the test.

Hope that helps.I think Darat was going to tape it so maybe later more info will emerge.I must ring the researchers of that show and get them to ask her about Randi! :D

It will be interesting to see whether the TM viewers decide that she’s psychic or not. I’ll contact them about Randi’s challenge too.

I doubt that it will be mentioned. I predict that if it is, she will not take it :D

I ould imagine Randi is a banned subject on This Morning. Imagine how many of their guests would get offended if you asked them for evidence.

They give way too much time to psychics, astrologers, health faddists and other related nonsense.

Still at least it allows me to have a reason for shouting at the TV.
