Presidential Primaries 2016

Hey, why isn't Deez Nuts on your list? I do realize he's not actually qualified due to being 15 years old, but he did file the paperwork. He also has had quite the following in the polls.

You're in Old Testament. obvious you don't know the difference between old and new.

Obviously you don't know that Jesus said, "For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall in any wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled." So the Old Testament laws still apply.

Bush is running out of money?

The contrast between the Trump and Bush campaigns could not be more clear as Republican candidates prepare for their second debate of the primary season on Wednesday night at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
Mr Bush, with his donors spooked by his poor polling, has just cut back his spending on private planes. Last week, the Washington Post reports, he even flew commercial.

This is getting off into Religion and Philosophy territory, but...

Completely ignoring the fact that Yahweh tells us to kill gays.

I've been noticing that many Christians seem to place the words of Jesus above the words of God. Sure, the two are actually the same, but that undermines their argument, too (and implies that God is contradictory and arbitrary in his laws).

more than just a little.

Naïve and inerrant literalism, is the bane of fundamentalism whether the advocates are believers in God, or not.

Hey Steve S, He fulfilled it, that is what he was saying.

Bolding mine.

Did heaven and earth pass away? Must have missed it.

Rumor on Morning Joe... Jerry Brown!

He's one of the very few politicians I ever donated to, when he was running against Bill Clinton.

Might be a bit too old from a health point of view. He's 77 Years old.

I voted for him in 2010 and last year, but I think his age rules him out as a serious candidate.

He does seem quite competent .

Bill Maher is very upset that Brown is be counted out because of his age. On the other hand, the presidency does age people very quickly. One cannot even get on an elevator without a military officer carrying a briefcase that includes the launch button for America's nuclear arsenal; I know I could not handle the stress of knowing that in the next ten minutes, I might have to make an irreversible decision that could change the course of human events forever.

The Sword of Damocles hanging over one's head can be the start of a pretty big downer.

They do seem to age quickly. Clinton, Bush, and Obama all went gray pretty quickly after being elected. Reagan, not so much.

Are you sure they didn't just quit using the Just For Men after being elected?

Reagan, not so much?

...he was well acquainted with, and comfortable, wearing makeup,

...and going to union meetings.

Reagan doesn't dye his hair, he's just prematurely orange.
..... Gerald Ford

Actually Reagan didn't dye his hair. Numerous observers have remarked that he had silver hairs mixed in with the dark. But the vast majority of his follicles retained their pigmentation. He was just lucky in that regard. I have a grandmother who is similarly gifted.

I also don't think that the presidency ages people particularly rapidly, anymore so than a lot of stressful jobs. It's just that presidents tend to enter office at a stage in life where there are bound to be rapid changes in appearance due to aging, and they are in the public eye so much that we all get to see the aging process. There is very little evidence that stress increases the rate at which graying of the hair occurs.
