Steve King. I was confused because I thought you meant the guy who wrote Pet Sematary and The Stand, etc.
No, he meant the scary guy.

Like Jindal said, "Don't be the party of stupid."
If I remember correctly most of the party responded to that suggestion by saying "hey, you, shut up."

And he either doesn't think the admonition applies to himself or doesn't recognize stupid when it bites him in the ass.
I think he is sincere in his withdrawal assertion but I'd wait for a couple of weeks to see if his actions match his words before yanking his chain. After all, this is not the first time he's said A and done Z. (Which is true of most pols but that's no excuse)
ETA: For example, if he comes out as a Jeb supporter after their meeting, then I'd believe him.
One of the reasons that is being reported for Mitt's withdrawal was most of his campaign team was already working for Jeb Bush.
Rand Paul vaccinatation remarks just adds to his "not ready for prime time" image . The guy is going to fizzle out early. He tries to be more mainstream then his Daddy, but then falls back in loony tune territory.
On Monday, likely 2016 presidential candidate Rand Paul stuck his foot in his mouth on, of all issues, vaccinations. Despite zero credible evidence that vaccines cause autism, Paul said that he'd heard of "many tragic cases of walking, talking normal children who wound up with profound mental disorders after vaccines." Then, on Tuesday, tape surfaced of Rand Paul linking vaccines to the rise of martial law in the US during a 2009 interview with conspiracy theory site InfoWars: "the first sort of thing you see with martial law is mandates, and they're talking about making [the flu vaccine] mandatory."
This is pretty shocking stuff, even given that other politicians have been busy saying embarrassing things about vaccines. But it tells us a lot about the biggest hurdle to Paul if he decides he wants to win the 2016 Republican primary — Rand Paul.
Paul's Achilles heel is his reputation in the Republican Party as an undisciplined ideologue, a candidate more concerned with libertarian purity than winning national elections. So on days like Tuesday, when he pops off on TV, it seems like he can't help himself from risking confirming the GOP's worst fears about him.
After conducting an “exclusive, intense, in-depth, real-question interview” with Ron Paul, Jones shared his praise for the former congressman’s son, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY).
“Rand Paul is the best,” Jones said. “I trust him… and he’s the guy for president.”
“Ted Cruz will make a great VP,” he added, saying that his “aggressive” posture is “what people want.” That’s why “real polls” show the Texas senator in the lead for the GOP nomination.

lol
He understands freedom, you obviously don't.
Maybe he understand freedom but he certainly doesn't understand vaccinations.
What about the ones he said cause mental issues?Wrong again, he's all for vaccinations, just not forced ones.
Its going to be either Scott Walker or Ted Cruz.
