It is, for many voters. One of the commonest dreams of the not-rich is to become rich; they see being rich as something to aspire to, so Trump is an aspirational figure.

Especially since Trump doesn't act like most rich people acts; he acts like a lot of non-rich people imagine they would act if they were rich. He's less "a rich person" and more a complete stereotype of the non-rich person's image of a rich person. Which makes him both aspirational and easy to identify with, even though he lives in a different world.

Trying to turn it into bragging. No, change that, is turning it into bragging. Claims he's not bragging.

So much material for Clinton. I do so hope she ties his not paying taxes into the need to tax the rich more.
