What I had posted comes right out of the official US government documents from the investigations of 9/11. While the book "State of Denial" by Bob Woodward could be argued is not an official US government document, the information about the extremely urgent meeting at the While House, information not found in any government document, even the 9/11 Commission report, between Rice Clarke, with the CIA Richard Blee, Cofer Black, and George Tenet, on July 10, 2001 where these CIA mangers described a massive al Qaeda attack about to take place inside of the US that would kill thousands of Americans was first denied then confirmed by Condoleezza Rice, which confirmed Woodward’s information.

In the book Looming Tower, the information on FBI Agent Ali Soufan was given to Lawrence Wright by FBI Agent Steve Bongardt, and vetted by John Miller information officer at the FBI. It can be considered to be the official FBI account on 9/11.

In all of this documentation several thousand pages of documentation not one single instance does it show that there was ever any breakdown in communication between agencies, nor was there any evidence found of any incompetence. Since this constitutes the main body of evidence in the attacks on 9/11, can you cite any body of evidence where you found any evidence that there were breakdowns in communication between agencies?

The actual statements found in email by FBI IOS HQ Agent Dina Corsi to FBI Agent Steve Bongardt even confirm this.

Corsi emailed Bongardt on August 29, 2001 and said “If at such time information is developed indicating the existence of a substantial Federal crime, that information will be passed over the wall according to procedures."

But Corsi knew on August 22, 2001, as she admits right on page 302 of the DOJ IG report, that the CIA had been deliberately hiding from the FBI Cole bombing investigators, the photo of Walid Bin Attash taken at Kuala Lumpur, a photograph that directly connected both Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi to the planning of the Cole bombing. This was a heinous crime. She also knew, since she had the NSA cable sent to the CIA and FBI HQ including FBI Director Louis Freeh, that Mihdhar and Hazmi were long time al Qaeda terrorists connected to the east Africa bombings. She was also aware that Bin Laden had already been indicted for the east Africa bombings. Since these were additional horrific and heinous crimes, there was absolutely no legitimate or legal reason for Corsi or Middleton to shut down Bongardt’s investigation of Mihdhar and Hazmi.

The CIA had been given the passport photograph of Walid Bin Attash, mastermind of the USS Cole bombing by FBI Agent Ali Soufan in November 2000, and also had the photograph of Walid Bin Attash taken of him at the Kuala Lumpur al Qaeda planning meeting in January 2000. They also had the photos of Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi taken of them at the same al Qaeda planning meeting.

So by November 2000 the CIA had the proof that Mihdhar and Hazmi had taken part in the planning of the Cole bombing, a crime, meaning by this date they had no legal right to withhold any of this information from the FBI Cole bombing investigators. They even reconfirmed that Walid Bin Attash was a long time high level al Qaeda terrorist who had taken part in the planning of the Cole bombing with Mihdhar and Hazmi at Kuala Lumpur when they had the Kuala Lumpur photo of him identified, by the FBI/CIA joint source on January 4, 2001.

Yet every time FBI Agent Ali Soufan asked the CIA if they had any information about a al Qaeda planning meeting in January 2000 in Kuala Lumpur or any information on Walid Bin Attash, Soufan is told that the CIA has none of this information when it turns out that they had all of this information.

This was not a “breakdown in communications between agencies” but the CIA criminally obstructing a FBI criminal investigation into the murders of 17 US sailors, carried out in a well orchestrated wide ranging criminal conspiracy at the CIA, and FBI HQ involving the CIA Bin Laden unit, the CIA CTC unit, the CIA Yemen station and the CIA Pakistan Station, the FBI Bin Laden unit, the FBI ITOS unit, the FBI RFU unit and even by the Director of the FBI, Louis Freeh himself.

How was the 9/11 Commission able to keep this information secret? By hiding and keeping secret any information about FBI Agent Ali Soufan, CIA Officer Tom Wilshire, CIA Officer Clark Shannon, FBI Agent Dina Corsi, and her boss FBI Supervising Agent Rod Middleton.

(NOTE Freeh had been asked by FBI Agent Soufan in November 2000 if he would make a official request to the CIA and George Tenet for any information on Walid Bin Attash or a al Qaeda planning meeting in Kuala Lumpur, an incredibly important request left completely out of the 9/11 Commission report. Funk, of course, does not even indicate whether the speech given by Ahmadinejad had been read, let alone what part of it contains any untruth. I used the DOJ IG report to make a very detailed time line after first translating the alias names to the real names so this report was understandable. The missing parts from the DOJ IG report were filled in from the 9/11 Commission report, 9/11 Commission staff statements #2 and #10, and information from the Joint Inquiry Committee report. Additional information was then added to this time line from the account of FBI Agent Ali Soufan from the July 10, 2006 issue of the New Yorker, plus the book “State of Denial”, by Bob Woodward. Information from the actual Moussaoui trial itself and the Moussaoui defense exhibits, which are on the Moussaoui trial web site were also combined with this information. The most horrific of these defense exhibits is DE #939 which shows that CIA officer Tom Wilshire had warned his CIA managers, Richard Blee, Cofer Black and George Tenet in July, that Mihdhar and Hazmi would take part in the next big al Qaeda attack, which shows that when Wilshire and Corsi were told by FBI IOS Agent Margaret Gillespie on August 22, 2001 that both Mihdhar and Hazmi were inside of the US, they knew these al Qaeda terrorists were inside of the US in order to take part in this massive al Qaeda attack that would kill thousands of Americans. When Gillespie had the CIA Bin Laden unit issue a worldwide alert for Mihdhar and Hazmi on August 23, 2001, the rest of the CIA knew Mihdhar and Hazmi were inside of the US in order to take part in a massive al Qaeda attack that they had been warned would kill thousands of Americans.

Thank you for pointing out that much of this information may also be in the 9/11 Commission report, if you were to read the 9/11 Commission report carefully. I gave up on the 9/11 Commission report when I found so much of what was missing of the information on 9/11 was actually detailed in the DOJ IG report, which made it easier to start to put the account of 9/11 back together again. But even with the DOJ IG report, it was possible to find areas in this report that were missing or had been obfuscated to hide FBI HQ culpability in the 9/11 attacks. With the DOJ IG report plus the other reports it was possible after much effort to put the entire story on 9/11 back together again.

For example: the 9/11 Commission report says on page 267:
“The CIA asked that a Kuala Lumpur surveillance photo of Mihdhar, be shown to the joint source who had identified Khallad, [on December 16, 2000, from Soufan’s passport photo of Khallad]. In early January 2001, two photos from the Kuala Lumpur meeting were shown to the source. One was a known photograph of Mihdhar, the other a photograph of a then unknown subject [the DOJ IG report says that the other photograph was of Khallad Bin Attash, and that the CIA Yemen station had actually requested the Khallad photo by name from the CIA Bin Laden unit so it could be shown to the joint source]. The source did not recognize Mihdhar. But he indicated he was 90% certain that the other individual was Khallad.
This meant that Khallad and Mihdhar were two different people. [NOTE: It is impossible to even imagine how, according to the 9/11 Commission report, the CIA could ever have been confused that Mihdhar and Khallad could have been the same person when the CIA had the Kuala Lumpur photos of Mihdhar and Khallad in January 2000, had already identified Mihdhar from his passport photo they had gotten when Mihdhar passed through Dubai in January 4, 2000 on his way to Kuala Lumpur from Yemen, and had in addition the passport photo of Khallad that they had gotten from Soufan in November 2000. This looks like an absurd and completely asinine attempt by the 9/11 Commission to explain why the Mihdhar and Khallad photos were shown to the joint source, when in fact the Yemen CIA station had actually asked for the Khallad and Mihdhar photos taken at Kuala Lumpur by name. Of course all of this information was conveniently left out of the 9/11 Commission report, when in fact the 9/11 Commission had all of the information found in the DOJ IG report, they just left most of this information out of their report.] It also meant that there was a link between Khallad and Mihdhar, making Mihdhar seem even more suspicious. Yet we found no effort by the CIA to renew the long abandoned search for Mihdhar or his travel companions.

In addition we found that the CIA did not notify the FBI of this identification. DCI Tenet and Cofer Black testified before Congress Joint Inquiry into 9/11 that the FBI had access to thus identification, from the beginning. [NOTE: Even the 9/11 Commission report makes a prima fascia case for perjury by Tenet and Black in Congressional testimony]. But drawing on extensive record, including documents that were not available to the CIA personnel who drafted that testimony, we conclude that thus was not the case. The FBI’s primary Cole investigators had no knowledge that Khallad had been in Kuala Lumpur with Mihdhar and others until after the September 11 attacks.
Because the FBI had not been informed in January 2000 about Mihdhar's possession of a US visa, it had not started looking for him in the United States. Because it did not know of the links between Khallad and Mihdhar, it did not start looking for him in January 2001. This incident is an example of how day to day gaps in information sharing can emerge even when there is mutual good will.”

But the DOJ IG reports says that Soufan, (the 9/11 Commission report referred to Soufan as “the FBI agent”, the DOJ IG report refers to Soufan as the New York FBI agent so even this report had to be read carefully to understand what it was really saying) flew out to Pakistan, and showed the passport photo of Khallad to the FBI/CIA joint source in February 2001, the same photo the joint source had identified in December 16, 2000 as Khallad. But the CIA handler for the FBI/CIA joint source, who was from the CIA Pakistan station, the CIA Yemen station who had been informed of the Khallad identification from the Kuala Lumpur photo, and the CIA Bin Laden unit who had supplied the Mihdhar and Khallad photos from Kuala Lumpur and received a cable of the Khallad Kuala Lumpur identification, who were all well aware that Khallad had been identified in the Kuala Lumpur photo on January 4, 2001, never told Soufan about that identification of Khallad from the Kuala Lumpur photo, or about the meeting in Kuala Lumpur or the fact that Mihdhar and Hazmi had also been at that meeting planning the Cole bombing with Khallad.

The CIA clearly knew that the FBI Cole bombing investigators by this time had identified Khallad as the mastermind of the Cole bombing. The CIA was also were well aware that Soufan had made an official request to the Yemen CIA station for any information on Bin Attash and any meeting in Kuala Lumpur, according the account of Ali Soufan in the New Yorker article [NOTE: that fact Soufan made this request was left out of the 9/11 Commission report and even the DOJ IG report, it only appeared in the account of FBI Agent Ali Soufan].

But Soufan was never even told that there had been an al Qaeda planning meeting in Kuala Lumpur or that Khalid al-Mihdhar had also been at that meeting with Nawaf al-Hazmi, and Khallad Bin Attash actually planning the Cole bombing, information the CIA was well aware of by the time Soufan flew out to Pakistan in February 2001. It had been in fact the CIA Yemen station that had requested the photos of Mihdhar and Khallad from the CIA Bin Laden unit so these could be shown to the joint source in January 2001. The Soufan account combined with the DOJ IG report makes the case for outright criminal obstruction of the FBI criminal Cole bombing investigation by the CIA Yemen Station, the CIA Pakistan Station and the CIA Bin Laden unit. The CIA Bin Laden unit was under Richard Blee who reported to Cofer Back head of the CIA CTC unit. The Pakistan station and Yemen Station were under John Gannon, and both Gannon and Black reported to Tenet. Since this criminal conspiracy included both Black and Gannon, it indicates that Tenet must have orchestrated this criminal obstruction, to hide this information on the Kuala Lumpur meeting from the FBI criminal investigators on the Cole bombing. The CIA had received photos of Mihdhar , Hazmi and Bin Attash taken at the Kuala Lumpur meeting on January 9, 2000 and then let these known al Qaeda terrorists walk away to carry out the Cole bombing. It appears the CIA wanted this information kept secret from the FBI criminal investigators on the Cole bombing to hide their culpability in allowing this attack on the USS Cole to take place. Since the planning of the Cole bombing and the planning of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center had taken place at this exact same meeting in Kuala Lumpur, the CIA by hiding their culpably in the Cole bombing had hidden the very information from the FBI criminal Cole bombing investigators that they could have used to prevent the attacks on 9/11.

Notice how when the details were left out of the 9/11 Commission report, the American people could never get any kind of a complete picture of what really took place or be aware of the outright criminal obstruction that occurred at the CIA. Notice too that the 9/11 Commission adds "This incident is an example of how day to day gaps in information sharing can emerge even when there is mutual good will", when in fact once you know the real facts it is easy to see the outright and wide ranging criminal obstruction of the FBI Cole bombing investigation by many units at the CIA, this now becomes completely obvious.

What is even more horrific is that once the CIA and FBI HQ were informed that Mihdhar and Hazmi were inside of the US on August 22, 2001, and even they knew these terrorists were inside of the US in order to take part in massive al Qaeda attack, (because of Wilshire’s emails back to his CIA CTC managers, on July 5, 2001 and July 23, 2001), they shut down FBI Agent Steve Bongardt’s investigation of Mihdhar and Hazmi, even when they knew by doing this, it would result in allowing the al Qaeda terrorists to murder thousands of Americans in this al Qaeda attack they had been warned was just about to take place. They shut down Bongardt’s investigation of Mihdhar and Hazmi even when they knew Mihdhar and Hazmi had been involved in the mass murder of Americans on at least two occasions, and knew they were inside of the US in order to take part in yet another attack that was going to result in the mass murder of thousands of Americans. They used the excuse that information could not be passed over what was called the “WALL” as the reason. But they not only had no legal right to shut down Bongardt’s investigation, information not connected to any FISA warrant, or evidence of a crime and/or evidence of an imminent threat to people or property in the US, rendered what was called the “WALL” null and void, but the CIA and FBI HQ even knew this since they had been hiding and keeping absolutely secret the evidence of crimes by Mihdhar and Hazmi since January 2000, when Mihdhar and Hazmi were connected to the east Africa bombings, and in again November 2000, when they were connected to the Cole bombing.

The CIA and FBI HQ were only able to shut down Bongardt’s investigation of Mihdhar and Hazmi by keeping completely secret and hiding the horrific crimes both Mihdhar and Hazmi had taken part from FBI Agent Steve Bongardt and his Cole investigators so they had no evidence to use in order to counter Corsi’s orders to shut down their investigation of these known al Qaeda terrorists, even when Bongardt and his team knew these al Qaeda terrorists were inside of the US on August 28, 2001, in order so they could take part in another horrific al Qaeda attack.

The 9/11 Commission report not only left out critical details but then even obfuscated other details in their investigation and report in an attempt it appears to hide the CIA and the FBI HQ criminal culpability in allowing the attacks on 9/11 to take place.
