From memory somewhere in Tehran is a US flag where the stars are alternating Stars, Hammers & Sickles (USSR) & Stars of David (Israel), painted on the ground so people can walk on them, this sort of thing does not surprize me. BTW do you have a link to a newstory on the above?

If it was the world responding to 'inhumane' treatment by the US, its sort of contradictory to his own view of inside job.

Ahmadinejad is a nutjob with hard line rules. His people hate him. He says crazy stuff every year. Whatever takes his mood at any given moment he says. The Taliban and AQ believe he has dishonoured them but he is dangerous because he will sell his wares to the highest bidder to incite further conflict within the middle east and against the west or he will push the button himself. Truthers are dumb and will jump on his bandwagon ignorant of it all. They will quote mine him without realising what it is they are quoting or that he is nuts and wants to kill them and given the chance he would. The dumbest of them have already started posting his statements thinking that he actually agrees with the TM. Ignorance is bliss i suppose.

"Big fabrication" as in "they never happened"? Is this like his claim that the Holocaust never happened and there are no homosexuals in Iran?


And there's no nuclear weapons programme...?
 
I think it's brilliant: The Holocaust never happened, and 9/11 was an inside job.

Pretty much sums up how things really are (that is if you're sufficiently removed from reality)

You couldn't make this stuff up! Or the truthers responses. Made my day it did.
 
We have talked about related topics several times. 911 Truth has nowhere to go in the developed world. Almost everyone thinks it's a big laugh for crazies. The recent spate of 911 Truthers terrorizing and murdering people won't go very far in winning the hearts and minds of Americans.

Several members living in Muslim nations have commented they have found little sympathy for 911 Truth there. My experience with Europeans has been similar. Despite this, I have speculated that the only furture for 911 Truth lies with Muslims. My feeling is that most newly converted North Americans are overseas Muslims. Some of this has to do with Saad Ali in We Are Change - Chicago who states he is of Pakistani descent.

There could also be some dynamic inside Muslim states that is driving them toward this discourse. As Bill Smith pointed out, there has been little interest in these ideas for almost 10 years. That growing numbers of Third World leaders are publically embracing these ideas now says to me something has changed for them. It may be that with the liberalization of the US government, regimes predicated on a hate of the West are increasingly having trouble finding the ideology they need to motivate followers. 911 Truth offers them hope.

This would be ironic for 911 Truthers in the USA, but not at all surprising for us here at JREF. You have small cliques of American citizens who call themselves radical and that they want an "end to the tyranny" of the US government, while at the same time supporting some of the most oppressive regimes in the world. This would be an interesting contrast to leftists in the 1960s and 70s supporting Mao and the Soviet government.

If I understand you, Bill (and sadly I think I do) it's not so much a "Jewish thing" as an "anti-Semitic thing", but then you always are grabbing hold of the wrong end of the stick, aren't you? Even when trying to make a joke.

I'm sure Ahmadinejad would have a few things to say about the Jews and 9/11. He might've even obtained some of the info off truther websites.

Last I heard there was some kind of Jewish connection to 9/11, but I can't be sure. The name Silverstein comes to mind, and the dancing Jews as well.

bill smith and his lot should write the Iranian embassy for some assistance. I'm sure they'd be eager to collaborate.

I'm sure that Gage could get a lot of money from Islamic groups. It's pretty much the only place left for him to go.
