Merged pray'n for rain in Texas

It's rained 57 out of the last 87 days here in Dallas. We may break the record for the wettest May if we get another inch or so of rain.

Ok god...we've had enough! :)

God has always been poor in his fine motor controls: aiming to kill one sinner but striking a believer instead, try to blast one specific group but wiping out an entire city or nation instead, etc. Perhaps He is a bit too exuberant.

God doesn't hear as well as He used to, either, so be glad that He didn't send reins by accident: there aren't nearly as many horses as there once were.

"Eh, what? Did you just say 'buck'? 'Buck' 'ewe'? Like, which kind that deer was? I dunno dude, that's just random."

and according to Houston area the death toll yesterday and today has been run up a bad bit. including several kids, if there was a god it should suck feces and terminate itself..

Just put my dad on a plane to Houston. Will he have to swim out of Hobby?

I saw on the news this morning that the 610 loop that surrounds the city has 1000s of motorists trapped on it due to flooding. All of the exit ramps are flooded and there's no way to get off it.

We got 11 inches of rainfall in the past 24 hours at my house.

Most of the freeways are passable now, except for a few that go down into some low lying areas. This map should help with what areas are still not passable - http://www.chron.com/news/houston-traffic/

I had friends who spent the night on I-10 last night because the way was impassable.

We just had a report of three people missing from a Houston Fire Department rescue boat that capsized rescuing people. I haven't heard if the people involved were found as yet or not.

Yeah, looked bad on the news. He made it home, probably good that his flight was delayed.

The floods could make the invasion of Texas difficult. Perhaps that was god's answer to the prayer all along.

Actually, the flooding is part of the invasion. The Navy really wanted to take back San Antonio. Not so easy to get those Littoral Combat vessels that far upstream without NASA helping them with their weather machine.

Wolf Blitzer: "“I guess you got to thank the Lord, right? Do you thank the Lord? For that split-second decision?”

Woman: "I’m actually an atheist."
Loved that one. :D

Oh, man... That actually happened? Nice.

And, really, why praise God for a rescue from a disaster He caused? Sounds like the ill-conceived scheme of some poor sap trying to impress others in a wacky comedy.

We'll be severely weakened by all the cases of West Nile.

Sounds like God's been double dealing again.
