God save us from Texas and Rick Perry. Pray for that.

That really, really hurts people, and does nothing to solve the problem. It leads them away from scientific thinking, like-there's no *********** way to control the weather, so we just have to settle for a couple million acres burned (that's about 3000 square MILES) and a coupel hundred homes, 1 State Park, and a whole bunch of road closures and towns evacuated. Might as well give up. Hell, the houses belonged to rich people, anyway.http://thinkprogress.org/2011/04/21/rick-perry-pray-for-rain/

Hell-He'd welcome it--as would most people.Would he understand the point of a protest of people dressing as Indians and rain-dancing in front of his office?

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RICK PERRY, Governor of Texas, under the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Statutes of the State of Texas, do hereby proclaim the three-day period from Friday, April 22, 2011, to Sunday, April 24, 2011, as Days of Prayer for Rain in the State of Texas. I urge Texans of all faiths and traditions to offer prayers on that day for the healing of our land, the rebuilding of our communities and the restoration of our normal and robust way of life.
Tu Quoque baiting?!He's a Republican, you expected something different?
Not even Texas Politicians can suck that hard.Well, we've got too much water up here right now. Please come and help yourself.
Like I said in the other thread on exactly the same topic--Since there is not a damn thing we can do about the Weather, if it makes various religious sects feel like they are doing something, let 'em have at it. It certainly is not going to hurt anything-or anybody.Tu Quoque baiting?!
People in Texas should pray for Perry to get a BRAIN![]()
Well, there was a big bunch of rainclouds headed towards Texas, but they were coming from Mexico and were turned back at the border.
