Aren't popes supposed to be holy? Or are there degrees of holiness? Are they going to call themselves the Holier Catholic Church?

Problem is the the Pope being the head of the church is Traditional Doctrine, so it is kind wierd to see Traditonalist defy that.As weird and creepy as this splitter group is...they're not technically wrong. The pope is, technically, just the bishop of Rome. Over the centuries a tradition was promulgated (by the bishops of Rome) that the position of bishop of Rome was the head honcho over all the other bishops in Christianity. Lots of Christians disagreed at the time, and more disagreed later on. The only difference with this bunch is that they're going to squabble over the Catholic brand, which was already the spinoff from the Christianity brand.
I suggest an amicable settlement in which Rome gets to be Catholicism Classic, and these wackos get to be Catholicism Xtreem. The "X" makes it edgy and appealing to the youth market.
If only you'd ever specify the people you're talking about so they could defend their position or explain how you've misunderstood it. But that wouldn't let you take a lazy "I'm so much better than you" position I guess.
