I boiled this thread down, and this is what I got.

JDG thinks that:

1) Black women are incapable of making their own decision regarding abortion.

2) Presenting women (especially those who live in predominantly black neighborhoods) with the option of abortion is a Very Bad Thing.

3) PP forces or actively encourages abortions on black women who do not want them.

4) Some fundies engaging in what amounts to a phone prank proves that a secret conspiracy by PP to eliminate black people exists.

5) PP as an organization agrees with and could actually carry out what the imposters were ranting about.

6) Margaret Sanger was evil? racist? and that PP is secretly bent on carrying out some nefarious conspiracy to elimate black people.

How'd I do?




ps. Jerome, I dare you to call up your local PP and tell them (with absolute clarity and sincerity) that you want to donate money in order to get rid of all the filthy WHITE babies. What do you think they'll say?

I will answer as soon as someone explains why the majority of responders to this thread are defending Planned Parenthood.

Upon further review, I have decided I will try to answer your question, in the hopes that you will answer mine.

My hypothetical answer is that majority of responders are defending PP because they are racists who think that PP is helping abort minority children and therefore they are in favor of supporting it. I have no evidence whatsoever that this is the case, but that is one possible explanation that fits in with your worldview.

Of course, the question of abortions in general is completely different from the question of targeting a particular race to "force" them to have abortions.

Jerome's issue here is probably the same I have seen in numerous other threads: He thinks he knows all the answers to everything and cannot be shown otherwise. This is rather ironic given his signature.

Good point. I have often wondered in some of the threads if he actually believes what he is saying or is simply trying to be a contrarian since some of the positions he takes seem so, well, strange is the word the comes to mind.

One learns a great deal about humanity from the responses to various questions and statements.

I occasionally try to take the other side of an argument, I think it helps to understand the other point of view and helps me reach a conclusion I can feel comfortable with.

It is hard because you have the correct answer and the other side is a bunch of mindless drivel from racist, homophobic, tree hugging, socialist, pinko, commie, nazi, hippie Scumbags.

I also think it is unproductive to do it by just repeating the same debunked statements like an ideological myna bird.
