kc440, there are so many reasons to despise/dislike the currect administration, why endorse bizarre conspiracy theories that the media wont even touch? Try stepping back, forget everything your instincts tell you about the current administration, and look at the events on 9/11 objectively and dispassionately. Read what the experts have to say.

The trouble is there are experts on both sides. And the theory that Kennedy was killed by "Globalists" just doesn't go away from me. To me, it's like the assassination was the First conspiracy. And I buy it 100%. So when left-wingers pointed to evidence of another major conspiracy of 9/11, what could I think? What happened on 9/11 will never be settled in my mind. But it's easier to live with thinking Arabs did it. So here's one question. Why were there no scrambler jets when the plane/missile flew over the White House and DC in general?

what plane flew over wthe white house?

it takes about 15 minutes for a fighter on alert to get off the ground, then however much time it takes to intercept a target, it takes a lot less time to fly over DC and crash into the pentagon

This sentence makes no sense, even for Rumsfeld-speak. And you see that "(inaudible)" there? The interview was done over the phone. The only possible way to figure out what he was really saying is to figure that the bolded "and" above should have been transcribed as the word "as":

"Here we're talking about plastic knives and using an American Airlines flight filed with our citizens, as the missile to damage this building and similar (inaudible) that damaged the World Trade Center."

So he was saying that the terrorists used an airliner as a missile. Pretty incriminating.

Someone claimed the plane that flew into the Pentagon, traveled over the White House before crossing the Potomac and crashing into the Pentagon. Supposedly, the White House has something on its roof that defends it from overhead.

Why was it allowed to fly over DC?

There may be experts on both sides, that's using the term 'experts' quite loosely. But you have to understand that the vast majority of the acedemic, as well engineering communities, think the 9/11 conspiracy is total rubbish. I cant give you a source for that, as it's self-evident.

As for the scrambled fighter jets, 2 F-16s took off from Langley AFB within minutes of being notified that AA77 was headed for the Capitol. However, they didnt make it in time...

someone said eh? sounds a really reliable source, that someone

according to every report not from "someone" 77 flew up the potomac, circled over arlingington and hit the pentagon

even if it flew over washington, as i said, it takes time to mount a response

even if the white house has AA weapons (which i doubt it does) its not standard procedure to shoot first and ask questions later, so its highly doubtful a simple flyover would result in a military response

Well, considering that Rumsfeld rambles like a drunken madman at the best of times, I could easily see this as being a simple slip up. I.E. he meant that they were used as missiles rather than being missiles. Either way, I'm sure you agree, it's no smoking gun, no one knows what he meant except for him.

Overall, the JREF forum members are not right-wing. Many here despise Bush, the Republican party, and especially conservative pundits like Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, etc. The fact is, the JREF forum members hate liars. Everyone gets trashed, liberal or conservative. This also means that we oppose you conspiracy theorists is not because we love George Bush, but because we hate the lies you guys tell. You guys believe in no planes, holograms, Star Wars death beams, etc., and just becase we oppose these insane ideas, we must be neocons?

I should add that there are always a few forum members who are willing to defend conservatives like George Bush, or liberals like Hillary Clinton. But no JREF forum member has bought into the 9/11 denial theories. There was some doubters early on but once the facts were presented, all of the forum realized the 9/11 deniers were yet another fringe group, like Holocaust deniers, Creationists, and the Flat Earth Society. kc440, I just wanted you to know that we see you in the same category as these other useless 'truth movements'.

Believe me you do not want us shooting missiles and rockets haphazardly at planes cause they made a mistake or might be a terrorist. The missiles miss and kill people on the ground. Bad for a missile shot at a plane over DC; to miss and hit a school.

You need to study 9/11 and decide when you would have shot down the hijacked planes. When? When on 9/11 did you know what to do, had the means to do it, and could do it.

Flight 93 guys are the only ones that had knowledge, some first hand, means, and motive to destroy the terrorist. NAME one other set of people who were ready before flight 93? AND in a position to do something.

Who? (how does this relate to aircraft accidents and crimes, and why does it smell like Alex Jones?)

I worked on a telecom hut for AT&T about 50 miles outside of Eugene Oregon. It was smack dab in a logging forest and only accessible via logging roads. Anyway, the hut was a small 1200 sq. ft. facility. During a construction visit, I joked to one of my co-workers that it'll make a fine home for ol' Bigfoot. A construction worker turned to me and with a straight face said, "You can always smell when they're around."
