Party Time !

"America prospers the most when you help the middle class" *BUZZ* Wrong. Both of these ideas are ideas a communist would have faith in.
Communism doesn't have classes. You mean socialism operating in a capitalist system.

but history has shown leads to failure and misery.
Australia is moderate socialist ( though not communist) and doing quite well at the moment.

Do you read? I mean books. I did not know how correct Savage was until the presiential debates and I listened to Obama's mind set for the first time when he did not have a teleprompter or was sitting across from a Barbara Walter's type who was tossing him soft balls.

Specifically I am talking about the part of Savage's book where he described Obama's upbringing and education as how he has been molded into thinking politically.

I have read both sides, Obama's books and his pundits. I think I have a fair viewpoint.

Did you just seriously employ Mr. Savage as a reference?
I remember the first time I heard his program, hand to FSM, I thought it was satire. Then, I heard the callers.

This may be a time when a true ad hominem is actually valid.

If "A" does "B", then "A" is wrong about "C". Not that it needs to get that far...

Bill I didn't ask for justification. I asked for reasons. What are the reasons, specifically, what about Obama's 'mindset' don't you like.

Anybody who thinks they can look at a person's upbringing and predict the political viewpoint it will produce is a moron.

We're all shaped by our upbringing... but which aspect shapes us is something that cannot be judged from afar in any sensible way. Nor can we judge whether the reaction is to be guided by it to do the same or to react against it.

Over the last several decades the increased wealth produced by gains in worker productivity have not been going to the workers but instead to those at the top. Wages for most of the country haven't even kept pace with inflation.

I can show you plenty of evidence that wealth inequality leads to numerous long standing social and economic problems.

Can you show me any evidence that increasing wealth inequality would produce positive results?

If this is a party why do you not have beer? Where is beer? Why is beer always gone?

How dare you. We have UHS, so are godless, far-right Marxists. ;)

I'm listening to Fox News Radio at the moment, and this is precisely what they are calling Obama at the moment. Politically, he would make a good leader of our central-rightish party, but not our central-leftish party. It is hilarious how misused the words "communist" "socialist" and "Marxist" have become.

The point is I have reasons to believe it will. You just have empty hope it won't. If it doesn't hit double digits, it will be by some strange and rare luck.

Whether it does or doesn't, it not really the president's doing. Since the recession (or whatever you wish to call it) the economy has been on a path of natural recovery, assisted pretty much solely by the manipulation of interests rates. It was critical for each party to get into power these next four years, since whatever party is there, will take credit for continued recovery.

So here are my predictions:

1) All things being equal (barring any wars, attacks, etc), unemployment will not hit double digits, and be better than 8% in 4 years, as will the economy in general.

2) While the republican cry was that Obama would make things worse if elected, it will change to either a) yeah its better, but could have been better faster, and/or b) it was a natural recovery and the president didn't help it.

3) The republicans in congress will phase out their obstructionism, since they will want to take credit for when things improve (even though their actions, as I said, will not really help the economy, but their obstructionism will only hurt their party).

At some point I hope you learn to not trust your instincts. From what I've read on this forum they have been rarely, if ever, correct.

You're understanding of socialism, fascism, communism, politics, foreign policy, logic and reason have all been woeful.

But you sure do entertain.

WOW! You already covered for your future failure. Trolls do that. Nice job!

Maybe Romney should have campaigned with his wife removing an item of clothing on each public appearance. Used to work for selling peanuts in pubs.

By "both sides", are you referring to the real world and Savage's fantasy world? Do you honestly consider Savage a valid source of information on anything other than botany?
