Over Unity is No Longer Disputable

I'm interested to see whats going to be released today by Steorn. They claim to have had 22 scientists evaluate their claim and the results are to be published "warts and all" today. See:

I can't post links but check out the rte.ie site (Irish TV) and there's a link from there to the press release.

More of the same I fear.

So you've made a discovery/invention that will change our knowledge of science and you put up a video on YouTube.

No need for peer-reviewed scientific journals, obviously. Do we need universities, or is Wikipedia enough?

Given the intelligence and scientific knowledge of the average youtube watcher, we could if we're kind to them call it

a "peer-viewed" medium.

Since I'm being a wise-ass anyways: Isn't 100 million a helluva high price to pay for free energy?

The scientists' evaluation is not expected to be completed before the end of the year. What they're doing today is putting some sort of gadget on display in an art gallery.

There will be a thread full of crow for you all to eat you know, with quotes and nose rubbing and all.

Yeah, I'm gonna be real torn up if this device succeeds in solving the world's energy problems.

(Not that it's going to happen of course).

Not as much "dogma of the scientific community" as chronic, repetitive, negative experience for several hundreds of years.

Now the scientists are simply saying:

"We've heard all this before over hundreds of years, tried it and tested it so many times we've lost count and it was consistently proven bogus. Show us something we haven't seen before in a different disguise. Such claims simply aren't sufficient anymore to warrant serious consideration without new evidence."

It's that simple.

Now, when a person is intelligent enough to see the falsity of it all, he's labelled a closed minded dogmatist by those either obsessed with a pseudo-science profit making agenda or those who are just plain fools and easily duped.

Skeptics simply want evidence that is proportional to the profound magnitude of the claim.

There's nothing wrong with a closed mind - IF your argument is correct and you can prove it. There's the catch.

The bottom line is:

No 'law' of nature has yet been observed to provided a free lunch. Why simply assume otherwise without any apparent evidence?

The biggest barrier to 'free' energy is NOT skepticism, but the laws of nature itself.

The laws of nature are not written. They can only be observed.

I was merely suggesting the law of COE is misinterpreted and I clearly stated it has not been broken.

I also clearly stated the YouTube video was not particularly impressive it was merely an example of how many legitimate over unity devices there are in existence.

I will return to point out all of your idiotic statements when this is all over with.

Can we expect you'll do the same to yourself, should the promised events turn out to be a bust?

Fair's fair, after all.

Conservation of energy is also the first law of thermodynamics. The device you refer to may not violate the first law of thermodynamics, but the only way it cannot do so and still operate as claimed is for it to violate the second law of thermodynamics. You have yet to indicate how this is possible. Hell, you have yet to indicate that you even know what the second law of thermodynamics is, let alone understand its implications.

I also clearly stated the YouTube video was not particularly impressive it was merely an example of how many legitimate over unity devices there are in existence.

Not if by "in existence" you mean actually work as claimed. None of them do.

Um, how the **** do you define a legitimate over unity device? As in one that does what it says it does?

So which ones would be legit then?

It is more likely you will be in a corner sulking.

So presumably, with all these "real" perpetual motion machines lying around the place, you will have no problem at all telling us about some of them and providing some evidence that they actually do what you claim. I assume you will also have no problem pointing out all the noise that was made about the discovery of unlimited energy, the biggest discovery since fire.

Seriously, I find it very hard to believe that you actually believe what you are saying. You are not just claiming that perpetual motion is possible, or that Steorn are the first to manage it. You are actually claiming that several different perpetual motion machines have been made and are currently out in the world working but nobody has noticed.

If this is such a big deal, how come it isn't mentioned anywhere in the (inter)national news media? I've been flipping around the major networks all morning, and nada. Why is the Internet apparently the only place I can hear/read about this?

ETA: The thought occurs to me, that if Steorn is really convinced that they're onto something legitimate, they must also realize that they could be in danger from the Establishment, and that publicity would be their greatest protection from suppression or worse. Where is the publicity?

Well, that should be entertaining too. After all, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary excuses".

You are correct, I am no scientist.

This video never did anything special for me honestly. I only included it it as a demonstration of the principal. There are tons of these devices out there and this is not on the top of the list by any means.

My point is, that this device is real, as are many others. The only real thing that keeps us from free energy is skepticism. I think that is about to change very soon. Either jump on the wagon now, or look real dumb later.

Or, consider looking real dumb right now!!!:D
