Our next unelected PM?

It's been flagged that Priti Patel is going to be Home Secretary.
That's a woman that was fired from her last cabinet post for colluding with a foreign State to finance its military, who has suggested starving Ireland to get Brexit and is an ardent supporter of the death penalty.
This is all that needs to be known about this evil woman

She opposes prisoner voting. She has also opposed allowing Jeremy Bamber, who was convicted of murder in her constituency, access to media to protest his innocence.

No one believes Bamber did the crime after a glance at the evidence.
Johnson should study the case and sack her.

Boris Johnson has promised the "beginning of a new golden age", as he made his first Commons statement as PM.

Speaking to MPs, Mr Johnson said his government would throw itself into Brexit negotiations with energy.

He also assured EU citizens living in the UK they would have "absolute certainty" of their right to live and remain in the country.

On Brexit, he told MPs, minister Michael Gove would make planning for a no-deal Brexit a "top priority".

Despite emphasising the importance of preparing for a no deal, Mr Johnson said he would "much prefer" to leave the EU with a deal and added that he will work "flat out to make it happen".

However he told MPs the withdrawal agreement - negotiated by Theresa May with the EU - was "unacceptable to this Parliament and to this country".

Congratulations to the UK in pulling ahead in the "Pasty Old White Guy with Horrible Comb-over/Toupee" Competition. I honestly didn't think anyone would find anyone to beat our guy.

What's that? This isn't a "Pasty Old White Guy With Horrible Comb-over/Toupee" competition? It's the two most powerful Western Democracies elected Heads of State?

Oh well that's not good then...

"Old"? He's 55. His hair is also natural.

There was a vote. Sturgeon could have lost but won it comfortably. This no more a 'rubber stamp' than any other vote that's won comfortably.

People are reduced to describing your posts as drivel simply because you don't argue honestly and are incapable of accepting that you're ever wrong about things.
There was only one candidate, Sturgeon. So she was elected unopposed.

You really ought to try, you know, reading posts and thinking a little before responding with a reflex action of posting, 'drivel' to anything you don't agree with. It's much better to address the argument than attack the poster - that's what we're expected to do on this board that is supposed to promote critical thinking.

And again no support for your claims...
I spell it out when I make a 'claim'. On the one occasion I did recently, you were shown to be totally wrong with your usual and predictable reflex action of posting, 'liar'. The facts I posted that I claimed were facts, and you said weren't, were demonstrated to indeed be facts - only an irrational person could disagree. We can go over them again if you want to be proven wrong once more.

Now you don't usually make claims. You just post insults. You should try to do better.

In the 2014 election for First Minister her opponent was Ruth Davidson.

In the 2016 election for First Minister her opponent was Willie Rennie.

You are wrong.

That's nonsense again. You were told the other candidate was Ruth Davidson!

What's the point of addressing the argument when the poster simply ignores what they are told and continues on with their nonsense?

Incidentally I notice the SNP have dubbed Bojo 'The last PM of the UK' not sure it will be accurate but the fact it even could be speaks volumes.

ceptimus has confused himself. The 'rubber stamp' he refers to is for the First Minister elections, contested and won twice by Sturgeon. I suspect he's confusing those with the SNP leadership election, where Sturgeon was the only candidate.
