That's because you falsely accused the US of breaking the Ottawa treaty it didn't sign. The Ottawa treaty is about landmines.

Landmines were first mentioned (in the context of the landmine ban treaty) by cambion in post 27.
In post 101, Travis replied to cambion, asking what good a ban on landmines would do, and saying it would actually result in something bad.
Bikerdruid doesn't enter the conversation about landmines until post 103, when he replied to Travis and asked if fewer children getting their legs blown off would be that bad result Travis mentioned.

The entire landmine thing started when Bikerdruid tried to divert the discussion away from Iran and back to the US being the "bad guy" again, because that's the only way he can make sense of the world.
He accused the US of breaking 37 treaties (most of which, if not all of them, the US didn't sign or ratified). The first of these treaties on his ridiculous list was the Ottawa one, which was about landmines. That's what cambion was commenting.

You're the one who singled out the Ottowa treaty out of all those on the list that the US was not a signatory to.
I singled it out because IT'S THE FIRST FREAKING ONE ON HIS LIST.

Bikerdruid didn't comment on any of those treaties in particular. You were the one who brought the Ottawa treaty, alone out of the 37 listed in bikerdruid's link, into this thread, specifically. Cambion then commented specifically on that landmine treaty. Travis then replied to cambion about landmines. Only then did bikerdruid sound off about the landmine treaty.
There was a derail about landmines, but it wasn't bikerdruid that yanked the thread towards that topic.

He commented on all of them in an attempt (failed or not) to compare the US' attitude towards Iran breaking the NPT with its own attitude towards treaties it's a signatory to.
Which is what started the derail about landmines. Since before you started talking about the Ottawa treaty specifically, bikerdruid's post had nothing to do with landmines, only about the US' attitude towards treaties in general.
But it's not a signatory to these treaties.
