Obama prepares order on guns

If everyone agrees that Obamas actions won't really do anything, why all the hysteria from the gun lobby and runs on guns and ammo?
While many people on the forum may say this, there are millions Americans who might think differently.

I'm still seeing the same nearly bare shelves where the 22lr is supposed to be. I can order the more expensive target ammo, but I prefer the cheaper subsonic stuff.

You should go where wildcat goes apparently its a .22 glut.

When I had a rimfire rifle (a takedown stuff it in the plastic butt backpacking thing) I fed it the cheapest stuff i could get because the more expensive made absolutely zip difference. Even the super expensive stuff that had a smaller projectile to allow them to shoehorn in more propellant. The extra velocity just seemed to make it go all over the place.

In Australia we sometimes have runs on stuff if there is a rumour about it. Baby formula is the latest thing. They will take my baby formula from my cold dead hand.

I have a C&R, and even here in Chicago I can get C&R guns shipped right to my door. The license pays for itself with the first one, because no transfer fees.

do they have those appallingly bad quality knockoffs of AK47s that come apart almost immediately? We used to get them just because the price was hilarious. You could on sell them for scrap metal weight and still break even.

Those were the days.... great fun .....but we have moved on now. I think you are going to have the same experience. Much as we have disagreed on many topics over so many years please don't run away and join the hillbilly armed resistance moving on is not all that bad.

It's definitely tempting. Of course, since the M1s in Korea fell through, I don't really have many guns on my "wanna buy" list other than maybe an AK, and that probably won't be anytime soon. So no rush.

No, but I bought this pair of Yugo SKS variants with my C&R, they are built like tanks and the cockroaches that survive the nuclear war will eventually evolve enough to shoot them...

Have you tidied them up much? The stocks and blue look good. I like the Bayonets, handy if the Deer overrun you and it gets down to hand to hand :)

so the standard Dalek twin weapon setup of death ray and drain unblocking rubber suction cup are not enough?

I owned an M1 carbine for a short time but could never get it to feed and eject reliably.

They did come entombed in a free lifetime supply of the finest cosmoline eastern Europe has to offer... each one took about 15 hours to take completely apart and clean up. One was in unissued condition and came complete with a Slovenian logbook that documented... something in a language I can't read. :boxedin:

wow, you are a real man.

wow, you are a real man.

purpose of this is doubtful. I have a vision that one day wildcat will break down, admit my genius and weld all his firearms together to form a shrine to gun control. Cheap shots about manhood are not helpfull...

To put things in perspective I'm not even a real woman despite the fishnet stockings.

I am now of the opinion that the majority of Americans are OK with the situation as it is. They can cope with having lots of mass shootings and gun violence. Hence the inertia and feeling there is no point in trying to change.

Add that to the right to be armed is more important than the right to life and a lack of community spirit where the individual wants to protect them self over protecting the community as a whole and the situation is helpless.

You really didn't just take an Onion article seriously, did you?

If I weld them all together can I shoot them all at the same time?

I'm glad to see your clips appear to be loaded with Silver Bear. It's the best ammo for 7.62/39 in existence. (at least I believe that's what it is).

Good show, but I hate those grenade launchers on the end. The Model 59 is better, I think...

It's actually Herter's (Cabela's store brand), which is just rebranded Tulammo based on the head stamp. I bought 400 rounds of it when it was on sale for $4.50/box, and it was OK except I had 2 hangfires from one box. I never had a hangfire in my life before that! It was odd to pull the trigger and it goes "click"..... bang! The white box is Romanian M67 military ammo, I expect that to be much better but corrosive.

They can be removed without much trouble if you want, but I have to leave mine on since I bought them with my C&R. You can turn off the gas system in these which gives you a bit of extra velocity, but of course turns it into a bolt action.

And the politicians. Based on the GOP response I thought he had actually attempted to do something.

Instead he asked politley to hire more agents to do background checks? That is an attack on the second amendment these days?

Come on, what are the offensive things in here that President Cruz will have to overturn on day one?

Thanks for that, this mental picture will keep me awake at night..

Just curious but if these rifles were to "vanish" from your possession. like if you accidentally removed all Id numbers and accidentally sold them to a crack dealer would you ever get found out?

Not suggesting you would sell them to a crack dealer as, like me, you would probably prefer to deal with serial killers.

Are individual weapons bought under those licences accounted for in some way and are you responsible for their future?

I've never sold a gun, probably never will. If I did it certainly wouldn't be to a crack dealer or serial killer, unless they had a valid FOID card.

It's beech, all the Yugos had beech stocks and no matter what some idiots on the internet say there were no forests of teak in Yugoslavia. :boggled:

Not the guns-what they're resting on. And the molding. And the window trim. It's oak as far as the eye can see ...
