It is also worth remembering how adamantly liberals denied the clear evidence of Biden's mental decline, even right here in this forum. When I posted a thread that discussed just some of the clear alarming signs of Biden's mental decline (e.g., his asking for a congresswoman who had died over a month earlier and to whom he had sent condolences, and his having to be guided on and off stages), a bunch of liberals dismissed the evidence, and some even claimed Biden was more lucid than Trump.

Given Disaster Don's current unpresidential mumblings, ramblings, rantings and cack-handed administration, Biden was, and still is, more lucid than Trump.

Confirmation bias afflicts us all. Do you think they have learned the lesson not to trust the media? Me neither.

Given that a lot of the "evidence" of Biden suffering from dementia was outright faked I grew quite a distrust of any such claims.

For example, several very prominent conservative media sources tried to use photos of Biden seeming to wander away from other world leaders, seeming to talk to the air at some leader conference before being called back. Hah-hah they crowed, dementia-boy just wandered off into the fields and we only avoided a Silver Alert because the other leaders called him back before he ended up in the woods talking to nobody, hah-hah.

But the photos that were not cropped showed that Biden wasn't wandering off into the empty fields. He was walking over to the paratrooper who had just landed as part of the whole demonstration and was talking with the man as he collected his gear after landing. Stuff like this was faked all the time by the right-wing media.

Now I won't say Biden wasn't old, and he was certainly was having memory issues. But forgetting someone died is *not* a sign of dementia or serious cognitive issues. Meanwhile Trump forgets his VP's wife's name and Mikey just glosses over it.

And (yeah I know I've said it a few times before) they even ignore the evidence of cognitive decline that Trump showed in 2016. You only needed to watch interviews with him ten years before that to know he was suffering cognitive decline by the time he first ran for President, and I would say not age-related decline.

This was a fun game in the abstract, but now it just seems absurd.

Biden already dropped out of the race, and arguably cost his party the election, by striking literally everyone as disastrously illucid on live TV.

This "Biden is more cogent than Trump" nonsense is off-year rhetoric, not post-election-loss grandstanding flexes.

The time to reassure yourselves that Biden is more lucid than Trump was before everyone decided that wasn't true.

The lack of lucidity by both candidates was never a factor on your election. The party that appealed to the bigotry rampant in America was more than adequately supported by those bigots in spite of running an insane candidate. Common decency is not an American trait and is never going to win an election there.

Still desperately trying to shift blame away from the apparently far more cognitively challenged people who voted for Trump? The current mess isn't on Biden or Harris, its on the US voters who having full knowledge of Trump's first term, his own clear mental decline since then, and all the absurd things he claimed he would do that he has since proceeded to do and decided, 'yeah that's better than a slightly dull black woman being president.' People who backed the Republicans despite everything that should have told them what a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ stupid idea that was are to blame and its time they owned this mess they've made.

I don't think anyone is claiming that Biden has a pin-sharp brain of a 20yo, or that he did not make some notable mistakes that may have cost the election.

Compared to other 80-plus seniors, he is in pretty good nick. Compared to Trump, he is streets, avenues, boulevards ahead. Trump is clearly one sick and aged unit, in body and mind.

You would think it would immediately rule out 50% of potential votes. Women in the USA had a choice between a woman and a rapist and many voted for the rapist. That country is really, really messed up. It's probably for the best that they want to disengage from the rest of the world.
 
Because it's the ISF of course some contrarian will come and say "what if the vote choice was between two rapists" or "the non-rapist was threatening to unleash Armageddon" or some other stupidity. It wasn't.
