NY Times Article on UFO sighting

[Venom]

If any of you have seen the program Is It Real? it often features Joe Nickell and has a good amount of skepticism to the point of flat out debunking and the narrator is happy to take snarky shots at the woo being discussed.

Haven't watched it in years. Very funny but informative show.

I really wasn't sure what to make of the monstrous glowing head which stared at me from the back of a car I was stuck behind in traffic one night.

I was following a car with its rear window divided into two differently sloping sections. As the cars crawled forward a little, I suddenly became aware that a giant, pale face, which must have been two feet wide, had risen up in the back of that car so that it could peer at its intended prey with its huge unblinking eyes through the letterbox-shaped lower part of the window. It was unearthly, surreal and absolutely terrifying.

For a few seconds. Until I realised it was the reflection of the giant electronic billboard behind us and I was being stared at by Adele. Phew.

That's ******* terrifying.

I just have to break my years long silence here to participate in a UFO thread!

The Skeptics Society has an excellent analysis of this whole silly story here: https://www.skeptic.com/reading_room/pentagon-ufos-to-the-stars-academy-ttsa-ufo-media-frenzy/
