He should have been NRA pres a LONG time ago.

Nothing wrong legally or moraly with shooting someone who is violently atacking you.

Just out of curiosity, which one of those are you?


This is not news, of course. Ted's been saying things like this for about 30 years. He even had a radio show here in the Detroit area on which he said things similair to this every morning for about 2 years.

As noted above, Ted has been irritiating people with his political hyperbole almost as long as he has been infuriating parents into yelling 'Turn that crap down!!'

I believe in the right to bear arms. There are many, many people that I would trust with a gun, but Ted's not one of them. I believe crimes involving robbery and theft would be less likely if criminals didn't know whether or not average joe has a gun. Criminals will obtain guns whether they are legal or not, and I don't think innocent citizens should be barred from them.

On the other hand, personally I don't like guns. I have clinical familial depression and I'm prone to suicidal thoughts. Having a gun nearby would be..... unhealthy for me. I will not allow guns in my house, and I shudder at parents with children my age that do not keep their guns safely away from them. :(

Some people thinks that's hypocracy, others don't. Meh. :o
 
There are many, many people that I would trust with a gun, but Ted's not one of them.

I find that interesting...is there something you know about him that the rest of us don't, or are you basing that on his on and off stage persona?

Or like me, you know that you just can't trust musicians?

It's them long haired hippy types. All that free love, rock and roll music polluting the minds of our children. If you ask me they should all be rounded up and shot.

I knew one guy in college that said he was part of a sound crew that set up the stage for him at one of his shows. The guy idolized him up until that point. He said Ted was such a dick and treated him like such dirt, that he went home and smashed all his Nugent albums that night.

I like his Fred Bear song, but I don't care much for the rest of his music. I don't trust him with a gun after watching several of his interviews and watching a few clips from his short-lived TV special Surviving Nugent. This guy is plain nuts!!

Yes, very true. I'm actually surprised he hasn't shot anyone. Ted doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would show any restraint with a gun. Something tells me that he's never had a problem with tresspassers on his property.

Please note that I left out drug use. Peace, love, drugs, long hair and rock and roll. Nugent is three fifths hippy.

It was tounge in cheek btw.
