Don´t read too much into this. Hopsicker sent me a facebook friendship invitation in 2009, too. This is particularly strange since we had only brief contact back in 2008, which ended with Hopsicker calling me a "******** researcher" and announcing to treat every further E-Mail from me as spam.
So I guess he just sent his friendship invitations out to all people whoever wrote him E-Mails or so. No reason to believe Hopsicker really knew this person.

That's not the best of comparisons, though. Being a Catholic does not lead you to rob a store. Having a world view that says the authorities are largely evil, involved in and covering up mass murder, subverting democracy and are the enemies of the people is something that at least might lead to situations like this.

Having said that, I know what you mean, I was surprised to see it as the first words in the headline. Still, the Daily Mail isn't exactly the most respected of papers here so others might not take the same approach.

Of course it doesn't, but it does establish his [Bedell's] credentials as a truther a little better. I have around 3,000 friends on FB and I don't know 2/3rd's of them from beans :)
 
FOX is running with the 'truther' story, but CNN has no mention of the 'truther' association at all.

I mean who the hell really cares what "his side of the story is?" I don't, aside from the sadness if he was truly mentally ill.

But on the otherhand, they do tend to use titles such as "School Teacher" did this, or "Jewish guy" did that. So maybe in the end im wrong.

I wonder what Capt Lagasse thinks now of Ranke and Alpo, knowing one of their kind tried to off a couple of his boys.

Typical Truther mentality, though....how many times have we heard, with *breathless fervor* that the Pentagon is the MOST PROTECTED BUILDING IN THE GALACTIC UNIVERSE!!!!! So I think I'll take a handgun and go attack it.

Death By Pentagon Cop. Not a particular smart way to go, but it is sure a definite way to go.

Normal customs would say "Too Soon", but considering the circumstances, I think 0.2 seconds after he pulled his gun on 2 cops he lost that right to be free from ridicule.

Obviously his gun and fired bullets were placed there by black ops helicopters that no one saw... in the metro station.
 
if he was a truther that shot up a 7/11 maybe his delusions wouldn't matter,but The Pentagon?

I'm afraid it is another one. Joe Stack crashed his Piper cub into the Austin TX IRS building on February 18th. J Patrick Bedell fired upon the Pentagon on March 4th, a mere two weeks later.

Stack expressed opposition to US governmental policies of a sort that placed him more in line with tea bagger sentiment -- call it excess taxation. Bedell expressed opposition to governmental deception referencing a number of events over the years, including 9/11.

The ongoing financial collapse, the millions upon millions of Americans who are either unemployed or underemployed or, if they are employed, being worked to the bone, while simultaneously threatened with benefit cuts or termination if they don't shut up and work harder, etc., may be creating more and more Stacks and Bedells as we speak.

One thing for sure, we can be certain Homeland Security, NSA, FBI, CIA &tc.ia, are all stopping (at nothing), looking and listening closely to all of us and freshening up the FEMA Camps, just in case.

Here's a suggestion posters:

Rather than go off on a "guilt by association" feeding frenzy, give some consideration to the recognition that we are all being watched and are considered suspects. That is because American social cohesiveness cannot be taken for granted under current circumstances.
