Nominate Scary Stundies for October

Not actually a nomination, but can anyone really be this stupid? (Don't answer that.)

I wonder if she is even an actor, I feel sorry for her. It would have been simple to knock her out with some non-lethal spray or something and then just have her wake up in a British hospital where she learns 'what happened.' I don't want to think people so young can lie to the whole world like that.
Yeah, I woke up and they told me I had a hole shot in my head. Couldn't see evidence of a hole in my own freaking head, but hey, if you say so.

First... I had to open the link to find out it's a Malala thread, so there's a heads up for others.

That said... I've just now learned the freakin' delusional SimonShack is an ADMIN over there. :boggled:

The best part was actually his response to your query as to whether he knew people at the VA work for the government:

So he was in the service and didn't know who was paying him? :eye-poppi

The people who work for the VA are (mostly?) civilians, not military. If you never used any of their services you may not know that. Many obvious things elude CM, so I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't know this.

I was on active duty for 5 years, got out for 2, went National Guard for 7, got out for 2, and went back in full time before I ever used any VA services other than the GI bill.

Eventually I made up my mind and I have over 25 years total service now. ;)

I don't know but both the faces have been moulded from liquid, so I'm saying the moon is liquid.

This is why it controls all things liquid. i.e the sea.

Water could have emotion as it is liquid, and emotions are liquid, controlled by the liquid source the moon.

And the more I think about it...

The cow jumped over the moon, and the dish ran away with the spoon.

Coincidence? I think not.

The Moon is a liquid dish:jaw-dropp

Gadzooks, it gets worse, so very much worse:

I don't ever visit those sites other than as links in the Stundies threads, so I have no idea.

To do so only tempts fate. Many times I have started perusing for entertainment only to realize I have spent 2 hours staring at indecipherable nonsense. Alas, I can't sue for those wasted hours back.

So, directors cannot also be writers?

Well I don't know about that but i mean if it's 'slightly implausible' that they could be 'writer, producer and editor', if he lost two of those jobs he might manage it I suppose.

Then don't tell that lux that there are also people who are writer, producer, editor, write of soundtrack and main star of the same movie (Paul Gross in Passchendaele, 2008).
Although in that case I would agree with lux. That was a case of a movie needing some third party influence.

That was a movie with a great first ten minutes, a good final thirty minutes, and a really disappointing hour + in between. Paul needed someone to tell him - war movie or period love story, pick one and go with it.

My thoughts exactly!

One bit I liked about that movie was how he managed to get every Canadain stereotype into the platoon for the final thirty minutes - the Quebecois, the native , etc, and then didn't have the characters draw attention to them.

That one I didn't see. Maybe because I'm not from Canada. :)
I really did like the way he brought the photographs of Frank Hurley in the scenes of the frontline. Brought some moments of recognition to me.

But I suspect we're getting somewhat away from the OP now.

Same could be said of Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor...

I thought they were talking about Pearl Harbor, at first. And then I realized that it was crap from start to finish so that couldn't be it.
