Nominate Scary Stundies for October

As much as I loved, (read: nominated) Ultima & D'oh P. At a certain point we have to outlaw DIF, and clueless forum, from the Stundies! Because, it ain't fair!!!!!1llol111ll!

The problem is that DIF and Clueless provide such a large percentage of our viable Stundies. Perhaps if we implemented the "no professionals" rule for certain posters at these forums instead?

V1 Rocket and you guessed it Clueless

Can't post links yet but hope this works:

uuuuuu cluesforum info/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1435&start=45

Obviously it will need to be changed to site address.

If not go to Apollo hoaxes and V1 and V2 etc.

Either Sukiari's post no 3 is a stundie, a poe or he/she is a subversive influence.

I love the how does the fuel get to the wings bit ignoring the huge engine type thing sitting at the back and also the video clip showing the thing taking off no where near vertical.

I know they are fast becoming a site that could be excluded from the Stundies but if this is not a windup post it could be a contender.

No. As the person that found clues forum back in in June (I think) they are totally a viable source for stundies. They actually believe what they write. My only lament is that often they just post the equivalent of "lol right!" Instead of expounding further on the ******** they just lol'ed.

Also they won't let me join and post which is honestly the equivalent of not being allowed to sit at the cool kids table. **** middle school.

Apparently employed government lackeys don't need to actually work for the government...

Well said. The debunkers are only government lackeys who value their employment above country and the MSM which aided, abetted, protected the instigators and perpatraitors of 9/11.

Your avatar is correct because you have mirrors in your house.

Wouldn't it be fun if someday you actually posted something that was based in truth?

One doesn't have to work for the government to be a government lackey, government shill, or a government disinformation agent.

Oh, that's a good one... and home grown, too!

Kickstarter is a front for unions to launder money and is anti-American:

Have you ever noticed Liberals and Feminists seem to start ALL the "Kickstarter" campaigns??? Why is this??? I believe Kickstarter should be investigated for illegal activity. It is probably some Union "hush fund" designed to "launder" drug money. It is typical of Liberals: BEG for free money. Conservatives go about fundraising the "old fashion" way, the AMERICAN way, grassroots organizing, bake sales, getting INVESTORS not "communism". It is typical of Obama's "gimme-gimme" America...

More scientists have decreased the effectiveness of the average scientist:

I'm surprised no one has noted the increase in the number of scientists from several thousand to millions over the past 7, or so, decades. Decreasing marginal returns is a conjecture that seems to have pretty good predictive value.

Bruce Charlton has offered the hypothesis that effectiveness of intelligence is a function of it's rarity, meaning that the intelligence of a top .1 percenter is ten times as effective as a top 1 percenter.

If the average Iq of all scientists has fallen from the top .01 percent to the top 2 percent then this makes the average scientist of 1945 200 times as effective as the average one today.

Is IQ science?

I'm not sure if he was joking around or what but it does point out a common fallacy. People today are not necessarily "smarter" than people 5,000 year ago. If a time traveler switched out an infant from today with an infant from then, the ancient infant raised today would not be noticeably different than anyone else today and the modern infant raised in the past would not be noticeably different than anyone else then.

Yes, Socrates, Plato and Aristotle were brilliant but what helped them more than anything was the lack of competition. When the majority of the population spends the majority of its time simply trying to harvest enough to survive, the number of people society is able to spare to non-essential tasks such as philosophy, etc... are few. Statistically, the number of geniuses in that small non-essential population is going to be even fewer.

Did you attend the CM school of statistics? :D

(I'm assuming you meant it was not intended to be 100% historically accurate. If I misunderstood, then never mind)

WTF? How is Kickstarter communism?

I don't know but both the faces have been moulded from liquid, so I'm saying the moon is liquid.

This is why it controls all things liquid. i.e the sea.

Water could have emotion as it is liquid, and emotions are liquid, controlled by the liquid source the moon.

And the more I think about it...

The cow jumped over the moon, and the dish ran away with the spoon.

Coincidence? I think not.

The Moon is a liquid dish:jaw-dropp

Almost all the comments are that stupid. It looks like some MRA blog or another was linked to the article.

Elam is the head of AVFM, who actually predicted, when he blogged about his interview, that they'd spin it to make him look like the bad guy. And lo and behold, they have. The next comment down, sorted by popularity, involves someone pointing out that 20/20 straight-up lied, or is completely incompetent. And since they actively refused to talk to women from AVFM, I'm going with the former.

Also, Elam himself (and other feminist critics, women included) has gotten death threats and hate mail. Heck, feminists have broken the law several times recently IRL to try and prevent discussions of men's issues.

There's no evidence that the harassment of Sarkeesian came from MRAs or "the manosphere". In fact, Anita herself says it comes from gamers in general, and there's rumors that it mostly came from 4chan. Noticably, Anita has presented a rather biased account of the reaction to her; it's either support or blind, unquestioning, misogynist hatred. The more substantial criticism of her methodology, logic, and evidence has never even been acknowledged. I've seen more logical and egalitarian content on TVTropes. Heck, she once said that the Straw Feminist trope was created to discredit real feminists, and then pointed to an example created by another feminist to address how some women use feminism as an excuse for their own gynocentric sexism.

The article is laughably biased, as the comments point out. I have a lot of issues with AVFM and Elam myself, but this nonsense is a joke. I've seen Daily Mail articles more objective than this. You'd think they'd at least mention that the SPLC used to receive significant donations from the now-defunct Radfem Hub, which doesn't speak well for their objectivity.

/rant

That said, the comments just turned into a slapfight between a few rather driven feminists, and people who care about men's issues. Which is not the same as MRAs. In fact, that latter group includes many feminists, and non-MRA people in said group were responsible for several of those aforementioned silenced talks.

I noticed you said "alleged director." Now I'm curious. Could you elaborate on that, Simon?

Oh nothing much, really - perhaps it was an ill-pondered use of the cautionary "alleged" word. Cuaròn may well have been entrusted to direct this catastrophic NASA propaganda, why not? As I typed the "alleged" word, my mind was just drifting back to his Wickedpedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfonso_Cuarón on which it is stated (scroll down to bottom of page) that Alfonso is not only the director of "Gravity", but also "writer, producer and editor" of the movie. I found that slightly implausible, that's all.

The best part was actually his response to your query as to whether he knew people at the VA work for the government:

Out of curiosity, you've claimed to be a veteran. I suppose you make occasional use of the VA? Did you know they are all "government employees" as well?

No, I didn't know that.
So he was in the service and didn't know who was paying him? :eye-poppi
