Can you just imagine how bad Noah's ark smelled??
Can you just imagine how bad Noah's ark smelled??
Oh, for god's sake!
Noah's bleeding Ark, AGAIN!
Look, it's diabolically simple. He's bloody god, alright? If he can make a entire universe, what's shrinking the animals down a few sizes? God waited until he had the animals queued up, shrunk everything to the size of mice and they all trotted in the ark, growing back to normal size when they beached on Ararat.
Most people with any functioning brain cellswould justblow it off as silly mythology.
There have been lots of floods. LOTS. We had one here several years ago that was pretty extensive. I'm sure if we had lived in ancient times and had never travelled further than we could see, we would have imagined that the whole world had flooded over.there are over 250 flood stories so whats your point? I think that means that there was a flood. And I am sure that you think they are all mistaken.
I'll bet Seattle has gotten forty-days and forty nights of rain, and it's still there!
33 consecutive days is the current record for Seattle. Just a week shy, nothing close to a global flood, eh?

Well, guys, to be fair to the Biblical account, it says not only that it rained for 40 days/nights, but that the "waters of the deep" were opened up; one of the more popular Christian theories is that vast subterranean reservoirs of water came gushing up, which actually accounted for the majority of the flood waters (as far as I'm aware, this has not happened in Seattle, although it can appear like it at times!).Psssh. 40's nothing.
A few winters back we had rain on 89 of 92 days (1 July - 30 Sept) and nobody got flooded.
I'm listening. The fact is that the Epic of Gilgamesh told the story of a flood, a man named Utnapishtim, that gathered up the world's animals and saved them and was rewarded with immortality by the gods. The Epic of Gilgamesh predates Judaism by nearly a thousand years.
The flood story originates in the Epic of Atrahasis, which is older still than the Epic of Gilgamesh. It is also interesting the the Sumerian 'Genesis' tale mirrors the Judeo-Christian 'Genesis'.
It looks like god plagiarized?

Boy that is quit the statement, so what, I think that anyone who looks around and thinks that this whole world is like it is by chance is mistaken\(notice how I left the name calling out)Now on to Noah's ark. Oh never mind it's not like any of you would even listen anyway.
Really...people who's argument is I am right and everyone else is stupid is in fact stupid themselves in my book...making you one of the stupidest people that I have ever had the misfortune of conversating with.
How did the orchids of the Borneo jungle make it to the Fertile Crescent, the potato, the strawberry?
Don’t tell me bout da rabbits
All the biblical literalists go on about the animals; the B I B L E asserts that the entire Earth surface was destroyed, what about the plants?
There are millions of different species of plants, only a small fraction grows in the middle east, what about the rest of them?
