Merged No Planes At WTC (Split from: WTC Dust)

Those people are not trained to investigate previously unknown phenomena. They are trained to investigate fires. If, as I'm saying, what happened at the WTC wasn't a fire, then their expertise would not enable them to come to the correct conclusion.

If they're trained to investigate fires, then I'd reckon they know what fires tend to smell like. Consequently, they should know better than you if the smell of ground zero was not easily explained by the fire and subsequent collapse of the towers.

But maybe you're right. Maybe persons trained in biomedical sciences are uniquely qualified in identifying mysterious foamification of tall buildings. Sure. Why not?

You've never studied any chemistry have you? If you had you'd realise what a silly statement this is. You language is not from someone who has studied chemistry to a higher level and evidenced by your lack of understanding.

Fire is the rapid oxidation of a material in the exothermic chemical process of combustion, releasing heat, light, and various reaction products.

Fire by definition includes the chemical process of combustion, there's no traditional or untraditional about it.

You said combustion, right? That's what I said, too.

At least you have to agree that those 343 men did NOT expect the WTC to get destroyed as it was. These people were experts in fire.

Many firefighters spoke of huge multistorey fires in those buildings, you pretty much dismiss the intensity of those fires. You're still a disgrace.

Don't you remember the audio from the 78th floor that described two small pockets of fire?

Yes, but the 78th floor of WTC2 was at the very bottom of the impact zone and from those transmissions it seems he was in a stairwell and couldn't report on conditions he could not see.

Nice cherry picking, your ladder gets a lot of use.

ETA: Actually I think he made it to the sky lobby, he described dead people you do know that right?

Do YOU remember the audio from the fire fighter on the 78th floor, calling out two small pockets of fire?
. Yes. That would be 2 small pockets on the 78th floor. If they had the chance to advance higher in the building before it collapsed there would have been reports of several floors of fires. You have to remember it is a dynamic situation and the firefighters report as they see things. They didn't sweep the entire area and make a final report. They simply reported the areas involved as they found them.

Abatement doesn't produce fumes. Deconstruction doesn't produce fumes.

Um, yes, yes it does. I happen to have been involved in dozens abatement projects over the years. If a project isn't properly encapsulated or containment is breached, you'll have a very serious problems. This has happened happened more times than I care to remember. The symptoms people report when exposed are usually nausea, headaches, difficulty breathing, irritated eyes, nose and throat. To a lesser degree this can happen during demolition projects.

Eh. Smoke removal equipment is not generally used when employing acetylene torches. You just don't need it. And it doesn't explain why the smoke removal equipment failed.

The 130 Liberty demolition project was, from what I've read, botched from the start and there were numerous work stoppages, power failures coming up more than once.

That's how science goes. You don't know the answer to something. You investigate. If you're lucky and smart, you end up with an answer, as I have.

Tracy. I don't consider you a troll.
And you have been very civil here.

But.................................................

The rub in your quote above is :

You could make the argument that your "investigation"
hasn't been an "honest" one...................................

And that ultimately you really haven't come up with an (the) answer.

Honesty.
An incredible word.

Tracy. If you are an honest scientist.

Then you will recognize the possibility that your "sample" may be less than sufficient.
And you won't throw out the 95% of the investigation that took place
beyond the WTC proper and your apartment building.

Good scientists can be wrong.
But Honesty is Honesty Tracy.
And it is what separates them from the rest and makes them pick themselves back
up and get back on the hunt.

Peace.

Also in science, the evidence shapes the hypothesis, rather than the hypothesis shaping the evidence.

You might be forgetting that the Deutsche Bank smell matched the WTC stench. The WTC wasn't undergoing a heck of a lot of acetylene torch treatment on Day 2. Mostly it was fire fighting efforts at that time. And heavy rain.

Um yeah, lots of volunteer iron workers showed up with their cutting rigs on day 1. On day 2 it was still a rescue effort. Hence the need to cut iron.

ugh

Um, why wouldn't you need ventilation while you're cutting? Are you serious? You've never even held a torch let alone work with one. There's plenty of smoke. Especially when you have 4 to 8 teams cutting.

Stop making stuff up.

It wasn't the smell of acetylene.
