Believe it or not, there is a series of fiction books based on the premise that a false flag mass killing using a semi-auto causes the government to ban firearms, and the Republic then falls, only to be partially rescued from the liberals, lesbians, aztlan invaders and gun grabbers.

On the second bolded point, there is a certain amount of truth in that statement.

Generally speaking, with some singular exceptions, spree shooters do not bring themselves into venues with armed victims - police stations (some exceptions in the 1960's - 1970's, one in the 1980's) as part of political terrorism, Military facilities with armed troops (Ft Hood doesn't qualify, the grenade attack in Kuwait does) Gun shops (burglaries yes, armed robberies, not so successful) Gun Shows (negligent discharge yes, criminal shootings no) and shooting ranges - suicides yes, a deranged woman shooting her son yes, but criminals, not so much or good.

Now does that transfer to the public at large, it's not clear, but it's not entirely unreasonable to suppose that bad actors that are not suicidal attempt to pick unarmed victims in areas unlikely to have armed, aware and trained individuals.

When something unbelievably evil happens in one of our schools, like the recent murder of 27 children and teachers at the Newtown School in Connecticut, the media always tells us the same thing: blame the lone nut(s).
But history suggests that many if not most schoolyard massacres, like other large-scale acts of domestic terrorism, have a much more sinister agenda.
Sheriff Pat Sullivan, who ran the Columbine investigation, was arrested last year and convicted of coercing sexual favors from a child in exchange for methamphetamine. His ridiculously short sentence, served in the jail that bears his name, amounted to a slap on the wrist. Rumor has it that Sullivan is part of a pedophile network along the lines of the Finders of Lost Children and the perpetrators of the Franklin Scandal child sex ring.

These conspiracy theories literally make me physically ill. After seeing my friends grief over the past few days, this, this is just wrong.

Some people suck.
 
I am not a religious beleiver but at times like this I wish I were. There has to be an especially nasty location in hell for not only the persons who perform such unspeakable acts, but also for those who twist and distort reality to even more evil, such as in the quote ascribed to Barrett above.

The father of Connecticut school shooter Adam Lanza, Peter Lanza, was the tax director for General Electric, a corporation that paid -0- taxes on 14.2 billion dollars in profits last year. Peter Lanza was scheduled to testify in the ongoing global LIBOR scandal. In what could only be described an amazing coincidence, the father of Colorado Batman shooter James Holmes, Robert Holmes, was also a LIBOR witness in his position with FICO. So in essence, the Govt had had our children MURDERED in order to fulfill the agenda. The agenda, to take your right to defend your self against THEM, by taking your guns. And also the agenda, to stop Peter Lanza (father of Adam) from testifying against the elite rich bankers involved in the LIBOR scandal!!

I'm not sure what's more depressing, that fact that this event is the worst school killing in the US, or the fact that there is a rank order of them.

I'm surprised some idiot hasn't popped up and claimed that the whole thing was hoaxed and it never happened.

i have been looking upthe Hostry of Gun Control in the UK, it seems to start with trying to stop Poachers getting their hands on guns in the 19th century and also after the Napoleonic wars soldiers were bringing back guns and not giving them back so the palce was awash with them.

Newtown's not the worst school killing, more died at Bath, Michigan in 1927. And that one didn't involve guns.
