Merged New telepathy test: which number did I write ?

"See a doctor" sentences seem both off topic and somewhat uncivil to me. I say it the way I think it.
However, in spite of this, I think I can tell you that I saw two doctors just this week (on Wednesday and on Thursday). I talked briefly about "telepathy" with each (though it was not the main reason why I consulted). None enthusiastically endorsed my views, but they didn't say I was "crazy" either.

That is good news! I honestly would never call you "crazy." There is, however, the possibility that some of the emotional turmoil that you have expressed in this thread can be helped by your doctors. At this point, you may well continue to feel that others can read your thoughts; you don't need to come to believe that this is in error to be willing to be open to what your doctors ask of you. Simply the fact that you have heard voices in your head urging you to do stuff, and you have expressed stress and unhappiness as a result, is enough for you to seek help that will permit you to control these things better. Your doctors are a great place to go. Stick with them.

Then design a scientific test which would have statistically meaningful results. Not this pointless exercise yet again.
This test is relatively light and simple. It would be possible to make it more rigorous (by adding a MD5 hash for example) if I find some cooperation. I think it would be pointless to propose a very complicated test, only to meet a barrier of enormous aggressivity (which seems to be often the case here, in spite of assurances to the contrary).
I am doing this test also on skeptiko and yahoo (like the previous one). So far, I got no answer on yahoo, but one answer on skeptiko. One comment I got on skeptiko was very unkind.

I ask you to write it here (if you think you know it, even with a doubt). You may also answer "I don't know".

So, your answer should be one of the three numbers: "1", "2", "3", or "I don't know".

I would also appreciate a little comment; you may say, for example, how confident you are in your answer.

1) I don't know.

2) I am tremendously confident that the above answer is correct.

I do not know. At no point today has any number popped into my head. At no point today has any number appeared particularly significant to me.

You have my word that this is an honest and complete answer, and that I am absolutely certain of it.

Really? I wonder if you are also "tremendously confident" that your brain, with all the neurochemical activity in it ;) , is not sending out, emitting, transmitting some electromagnetic waves ;) .

You will get no cooperation for a test that is obviously utterly pointless. That's the reason you've never had any cooperation here: every one of your tests has been obviously utterly pointless. Randomly pick a number from 1 to 3, and then watch you fiddle the results until you convince yourself (though no-one else) that they support what you desperately need to believe? Utterly pointless. That's also why the majority of the responses you get are sarcastic, though as you seem incapable of detecting sarcasm you never realise that.

Indeed.

For those unfamiliar with Michel and his tests, Michel is convinced that he has telepathic powers.
There is NOTHING that any poster can say to dissuade him of his conviction. There is no evidence, no argument, no logic, no analogy, no explanation, no test that will make him even begin to doubt his abilities.

Playing along with this tests only strengthens his beliefs in his telepathy. Sarcastic comments seem to reinforce his belief that other people can hear his thoughts and merely deny the truth of the matter.

Even giving an answer for fun causes problems, because if three posters respond and give the answers 1, 2, and 3. Then Michel will say, two people gave the wrong answer but I can tell they were not really trying, so I will discount their responses and place more emphasis on the poster who gave the correct answer. By this method, he considers every "test" conclusive proof that he has telepathic powers.

That being said, Michel is still a poster and like all posters deserves the protection of all the board's rules.

And even non-sarcastic attempts at humor are very unlikely to be seen as such by MichelH.

Michel, you seem to be narrowing the choices in order to artificially bolster your results.

Get over it. You are not telepathic. Nobody can hear your thoughts.

...

Let's look at it this way. Perhaps there is a physiological or genetic reason why you have telepathy. The next time you see you primary health care physician, be sure to mention that you have telepathy and that you are looking for ways to test it. ...
Thank you for confirming to me that I am "telepathic", Ladewig.
I have been thinking that for a long time.
You are a genius.

... And you think it supports you?
Yes, of course, I think this was a good post by Ladewig (more exactly, the part that I cited).
It seems to be more difficult for me to get such good and positive posts since the change of name of this forum (from "forum of the James Randi Educational Foundation" to "International Skeptics Forum", with an obviously more "skeptical" connotation). Perhaps this is exactly what Randi was trying to achieve when he decided to drop his forum: sabotage my work. He may have been only too successful, in a sinister way.

Hi, I invite you to participate in a simple telepathy test.

This is not a test and you know it.

Oh, for Meg Ryan's sake ...

Michel H, not just Randi, everybody is out to sabotage you.
Even your mother.
