New Disclosures on Benghazi - Part II

Benghazi Committee Democrats release ridiculously partisan report blasting Republicans for partisan abuses.

I realize that no one is taking this silly report seriously, but c'mon, they mention Donald Trump more times than Tyrone Woods AND Glen Doherty!

How many times do we have to keep investigating this until we get the outcome we want?

How many times do we have to keep investigating this until we get the outcome we want?

You are aware, are you not, that the Administration and State Department deliberately withheld documents and other evidence from the earlier investigations, in fact State is to this day wrongfully withholding documents, and over the weekend Obama refused to respond to written questions proffered by the Committee.

As such: One, one thorough investigation.

You answered it yourself:

until we get the outcome we want

However, the liar Trey Gowdy has already said he is not going to draw any conclusions...

WASHINGTON — The final congressional report on the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attacks may present conflicting information on some issues without concluding which version is true, according to Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy, chairman of the special House committee investigating the attacks.
...
"If you do a good enough job getting every bit of information the fact-finder needs, they'll be able to draw their own conclusions," Gowdy said. "People are going to draw different conclusions. That's fine."

Gowdy, a former prosecutor, said he won't insert his opinion about what the facts prove or don't prove.

"It's not my job to tell people what to conclude," he said. "So I have a certain take on the facts, but I don't get how my expression of my personal opinion on the facts is what I was asked to do."

So at least one more then?

(some snipped)

With any luck, this won't be the never ending Oswald story and we won't be rehashing it a decade from now. With any luck.

Rule of So!

Although the Administration, Clinton and the sleazy waterboys on the Minority Committee have done everything they can to thwart this committee, I suspect that this will be the last and only remotely thorough investigation.

We won't have the full story until the perpetrators testify. And of course, there's the forensic evidence that was misplaced somehow. And the phone calls intercepted by the NSA that haven't yet been decrypted, but with quantum computers on the horizon, will be.

Just when you are sure there couldn't possibly be any more clowns in that little car, well son-of-a-gun, there are.

I'm sorry, did that silly little sarcasm have anything to do with my post?

I pointed out two things that are not going to get done:

1. State is withholding docs.
2. Obama won't answer questions.

These are two actual things that are happening. In understand that perhaps you feel that you don't want to know or have the right to know what our elected (and non-elected officials) are up to.

Some of us disagree.

Which one? There's only been like 7 of 'em.

:dl:

Aye. And something else to consider: If the evil Democrats were able to confound and defeat the earnest Republican thruth-seekers seven times, now, why support them when they go for an eighth? How much repetitive, consistent failure is required before one decides that it's not worth supporting them any more? If I had someone try to make a sandwich seven times in a row and somehow botch it, I certainly wouldn't bite into the eighth.

If 16.5 still laughably pretending to be a Democrat while at the same time claiming that that the only report we can trust is the one issued by GOP witchhunters (and even then, only if they find the witch)?

LOL

I was pointing out that these things tend to reemerge, just when you think it's all safely bottled up, solved, and tied up in a pretty bow. Documents get released. Obama leaves office. Stuff happens.

I don't share your view that the matter will ever be put to rest because the polarity of the issue will keep the heart beating, long after the patient is clinically dead.

What we are talking about is drawing a line and saying, "I know I don't know everything there is to know, but I know enough to make up my mind and move on." That happened for me shortly after the original event. But it doesn't seem to have happened for many others. Lines keep appearing. "Just a little bit more info, then I'll be happy..."

I wonder how many different witchhunts the Republicans will conduct in pathetic and sure to fail attempts to destroy Hillary's Presidency.

Here's a new disclosure...

House Benghazi FINAL (honestly!) report finds no new evidence of wrongdoing.

Ummm ... that is a false summary of both the report and the article to which you linked. The report found plenty of new wrongdoing, including the fact that a prior internal investigation by the State Department was bogus. It also found, by the way, that Hillary was using a private email server, which would probably not have been discovered if not for this new investigation and its "colossal waste of money" ($7 million -).

What? Here is a direct quote of the opening paragraph: "Ending one of the longest, costliest and most bitterly partisan congressional investigations in history, the House Select Committee on Benghazi issued its final report on Tuesday, finding no new evidence of culpability or wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton in the 2012 attacks in Libya that left four Americans dead."

As to the server, how useful will you and other Republicans find that when the FBI doesn't recommend indictment over it? Will the $7 million have been worth yet another partisan witch-hunt?

No new evidence of wrongdoing BY CLINTON. My apologies.
