“It’s a shame none of the Democrat members of the Benghazi Committee showed up to hear what these two service members had to say about their service to our country on the night of the Benghazi attacks.”

“Democrats belie their own political motivation and lack of interest in conducting a serious investigation when they would rather accept briefings provided by the Pentagon than talk to the actual Air Force operators who were conducting missions over Benghazi that night. Since not a single Democrat member could be bothered to show up to hear what the sensor operators had to say, I find it surprising their spokesman is so willing to mischaracterize the witnesses’ testimony. In fact, the operators were able to tell the committee what they were directed to look for, what information they were focused on gathering, what information was relayed up the chain of command and what capabilities the drones possessed. Video footage the administration refuses to let the American people see and briefers instructed what to say cannot do that.

Are you claiming to know Paul Bell wasn't provided with a transcript of the interview ?

Are you claiming to know Paul Bell didn't read a transcript of the interview ?

Huh, you were not there. Can you tell us what committee members were present ?

Gowdy said the report will also include interview transcripts and exhibits, and leave it to readers to reach their own conclusions.

“I don’t want you to take my word for it,” he said. “I want you to read it for yourself and you control whatever conclusions you want to draw.”

Bet you thought Stone's JFK was a documentary, didn't you? When you see "A Film by Michael Bay" and "accuracy" in the same sentence, worry.

Pearl Harbor, Pain and Gain.... both have historical inaccuracies galore, all for the sake of a good story, and in the former case they didn't even get that.

The CIA guys who were there say that the film is a pack of lies.

But whatever floats your boat. I've seen it, not a horrible film but not a good one, either. But if anyone watches it, I suggest ignoring that it's supposed to be about actual events and view it as a shoot 'em up where the bad guys win. "Stand down" is his equivalent in this film to JFK's "Back... and to the left... Back and to the left."

I'll pass on the "JFK" straw man.

The CIA guy -- "The Chief" -- said he never uttered "Stand Down". But he did keep the GRS guys from leaving the annex for at least 20 minutes after they were locked and loaded in their vehicles ready to go. This, while the Mission begged for help. So, what he said or didn't say is irrelevant. What he actually did is relevant.

Oh, and I read the book, which was a first-hand account from the survivors. The movie follows the book. I don't recall anything in the movie that wasn't in the book.

#DishonestDems can’t keep their misleading claims straight

The Washington Post Fact Checker recently gave Rep. Elijah Cummings two Pinnocchios for his false claim about the Benghazi Committee’s cost. And PolitiFact previously reported as “false” the accusation the committee was “the longest-running congressional investigation ever.”

You’d think the dishonest Democrats would have gotten a calculator by now.

As one news anchor concluded, “the Democrats have … [tried] to discredit and undermine their own committee.” It is telling that when questioned by The Washington Post, your staff did not deny “strategic coordination with the campaign.”

WASHINGTON— Today, the Democratic Members of the Select Committee on Benghazi issued a 339-page report entitled, “Honoring Courage, Improving Security, and Fighting the Political Exploitation of a Tragedy.” Democrats also released all of the unclassified interview transcripts in their possession so the American people can read them for themselves.

“Decades in the future, historians will look back on this investigation as a case study in how not to conduct a credible investigation,” the Members wrote. “They will showcase the proliferation of Republican abuses as a chief example of what happens when politicians are allowed to use unlimited taxpayer dollars—and the formidable power of Congress—to attack their political foes.”

The Democratic report’s overarching conclusion is that the evidence obtained by the Select Committee confirms the core findings already issued by many previous investigations into the attacks in Benghazi. Although the Select Committee obtained additional details that provide context and granularity, these details do not fundamentally alter the previous conclusions.

The report finds:

• U.S. personnel in Benghazi and Tripoli conducted themselves with extraordinary courage and heroism and at grave personal risk to defend and rescue their fellow Americans.
• The Defense Department could not have done anything differently on the night of the attacks that would have saved the lives of the four brave Americans killed in Benghazi, and although the military’s global posture prevented it from responding more quickly that night, improvements were made years ago.
• The State Department’s security measures in Benghazi were woefully inadequate as a result of decisions made by officials in the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, but Secretary Clinton never personally denied any requests for additional security in Benghazi.
• The Intelligence Community’s assessments evolved after the attacks as more information became available, but they were not influenced by political considerations.
• Administration officials did not make intentionally misleading statements about the attacks, but instead relied on information they were provided at the time under fast-moving circumstances.

Avid readers of this thread know that the Democratic Minority have openly conspired with the Hillary Campaign to thwart the Benghazi investigation.

Now they have issued a laughably partisan report a laughably partisan report report designed for the sole purpose of promoting Slick Hilly's Presidential Campaign, issued before the investigation was even completed.

“Benghazi Committee Democrats’ obsession with the former Secretary of State is on full display. For over two years they refused to participate in the Majority’s serious, fact-centered investigation.
