New 9/11 Truth Conference

Or maybe get a bunch of people to dress in suits, sit in the back of the room, take copious notes and lots of pictures but never talk to anyone.

"Men in Black" suits and dark glasses would be a nice touch.;)

Dick Gregory has been a conspiracy loon at least since the JFK assassination. He's a funny guy but that is no protection from being crazy (and it might even be a prerequisite).

Bunch of losers. Bet it will be canned through lack of attendance.

I know this is too much to hope for, but it would be nice if just maybe the inability to get people to come to their conference will cause the 9/11 Truth Movement to face the truth of their irrelevance.

Considering they cannot get more than 40 people to Manhattan on 9/11 anniversary, or get more than 20 people to 'occupy building 7' whilst there are hundreds of pissed off teenagers right around the corner, should go to show enough of their irrelevance. But hell, since when have 9/11 twoofers recognised the truth about anything?

i hope they are going to march on the capital!

Now that would be a sight to behold. They could probably huddle up to a few bus loads of tourists to make their numbers look big!

Yes, introspection can be added to the broad category of things that are not their strong suit.

Washington D.C. isn't that the murder capital of the US? Just sayin'...

I pass by the Sheraton in question every day while headed to work, so may swing by there on the dates it is scheduled just to see who shows up. No way I'm paying anything resembling money to go TO that thing. If they open the doors up to all, yeah...I'd go in to see these people in person...kind of like a zoo kind-of-thing.

Show them your military ID, how could they refuse you? :D

I don’t see David Ray Griffith on the speakers list, but it is my understanding he got a $5 million grant to study the afterlife, so he’s busy working on that.

;)

This intrigued me, so I did a search.

I found this, which states:

"It was announced today that a new team of researchers at the University of California will spend three years looking into near-death reports, out-of-body experiences, the psychological implications of believing in immortality and related phenomenon."

"But at least some of the century-old stigma against conducting research into parapsychology in North American academia may have been broken today, with scholars at the University of California, Riverside, accepting a $5-million Templeton Foundation grant."

"As the UC academics pursue their work I hope Fischer et al will take seriously the impressive investigations already been done in the field by several key people, including philosophy professor emeritus David Ray Griffin, of Southern California’s Claremont Graduate University (which, coincidentally, is only 50 kilometres from UC Riverside)."

So, while a $5million grant has been made (by the Templeton Foundation :oldroll:) to study the afterlife, it was not to David Ray Griffin or his university.
