What's the point of having a Monopoly when consumers and advertisers don't have to uae your product?

I ******* hate this time line. Everything is so over the top stupid that if you used it as a hypothetical ten, maybe even 5 years ago people would have screamed "strawman" at it so loud the windows would shatter.

"I'm suing you because you aren't advertising on my site" is the kind of thing you'd make up sarcastically and still be called "hyperbolic" for suggesting it.

on a serious note, it’s a mistake to think that we are above paying attention to this stuff or it’s unimportant. that’s why these guys are able to get away with it all again and again, the constant lies and scams. look how much they have, and no one stands up to them.

this free speech stuff cancel culture stuff was always about accessing advertising money anyway. it’s not about being silenced, it’s about retaining monetization. talk about entitlement to think people have to choose to spend money at your crappy website.

RICO allows for private parties to bring civil actions, but Musk specifically talked about criminal liability, so ::shrug emoji::. Presumably he's hoping that equally delusional Republican officials will take up the cause.

No you can sue for RICO violations it is just a really dumb idea, sue for the damages from the actual crimes that constitute the RICO violation. It would seem not giving him money is a crime in his mind.

This is as dumb as his complaining about bots on Twitter when he already signed an agreement to buy it as is.
 
Attempting to compel others to endorse your product via sponsorship is the opposite of free speech. Which is why an advertiser boycott of Twitter would be perfectly legal, if that were even a good description of what happened (and it isn't).

Do you agree that an advertiser is free to choose whether or not to advertise on a particular platform?

If you disagree, you are against the principle of free speech. Its 100% clear cut. No ifs and buts.
