Yea it's interesting. Growing up my neighborhood was mostly white with several black families (including mine) on our street and my BEST, BEST friend from youth was white. We didn't see each other as any such color. And my elementry school was relatively diverse (had a good mixture of whites and black but not as many asians or hispanics) and I think everybody had plenty of friends that weren't the same race.

So I can't say I identify with all this culture clashing the video is structured around. My later schools were about us undiverse as can be (wide majority black). Personally, in todays society, I think being cultured and brought up around people who don't look like you is important.

Or you realize humans are xenophobic by nature and will find ways to divide whether it be by skin color, religion, place of birth or some other abitrary subject.

The Irish and italians in Boston will and Dutch and English and Jews in New York will never be able to set aside the violence of their initial attempts at coexistence and get along in the same city... oh wait.

Exactly how many of those who grew up around immigrants became a "worthless criminal parasite"? Did everyone in NY turn into a "worthless criminal parasite" for living around Irish immigrants? Did all the second generation early colonists turn into "worthless criminal parasites" for growing up among immigrants? Or what?

Are the Irish much more likely to be involved in violent crimes such as robbery, rape, assault and etc? Are the Irish much less likely to have an education and less likely to have a job?

If thats true than i wouldn't want to live next to them, and i pretty sure that kids that grow up around criminals and delinquents are much more likely to become criminals themselves.

Though I can understand the sentiment to a degree, I don't think bullying someone for being part of a minority in a country is any more justifiable than bullying someone for being part of the minority in a school.
It's always a bad thing and action should be taken in the case of young Elias.
But even in a hypothetically 'ethnically pure' Norway, kids could still find reasons to bully their fellow purebred viking overlords, a stutter, glasses, social awkwardness, or nothing in particular.

Well I don't think immigrants want to grow up in "immigrant ghettos". And regardless this is a case of religon causing friction, which has plagued humans for as long as religion existed. Now if your problem is that a white kid is feeling aliented by non-whites in a "white society" then say so. ;) Clearly you believe the "perils of multiculturalism" is racial moreso then cultural.

Funnily, Irish too were considered not quite white and not fit to integrate in white society. There is for example an infamous 19'th century marriage certifficate of a paper-white celt where his race reads "coloured".

The Irish were routinely drawn as physically different from proper whites, if not in actual skin colour, then by adding some ape-like features.

A lot of people argued that they're not just a different race, but not even humans at all. There was actually a ton of pseudo-science, including analysing cherry-picked skulls and whatnot, to prove they're a different species altogether. One particular pseudo-scientist even made the Irish the missing link between gorillas and blacks, essentially making them even more subhuman apes than the blacks were considered at the time. And at any rate, closer related to the blacks than to proper white folk.

It's perhaps the best illustration of the idiocy of racism in action.

In researching my screenplay for the 369th Harlem Hell Fighters, I ran across another unit that was segregated from "whites" in WWI. The name escapes me at the moment but I remember that they were referred to as "The Jews, the WOPS, the dutch, and Irish cops." I remember thinking,
"... Wait. What?"
 
Though speaking of multi-culturalism and people you wouldn't want in your neighbourhood, and probably more relevant to our Swede friend, apparently as late as the 90's a Danish town sported a poster saying "Keep your town clean, take a Swede to the ferry" :p

Then you are wrong. Most immigrants segregate themselves inside places like Rosegarden, Rinkeby, Tensta and etc, where they live with people who look like themselves and behave like themselves.

And a quick look at the level of crime and unemployment that exist there shows that they are unable to behave like ethnic Swedes.

Wait, of all things one could be upset about when hearing about an assault, your first and biggest problem is the accent? So if someone gets mugged by someone with perfect accent, is it any better?
