SCOTUS supports Mueller in holding the unnamed foreign government linked company in contempt.

And a few reporters revealed that the lawyers from Alston and Bird who are representing that company were tied to Russia and one (Brian Boone) also worked for the RNC.

Alston Bird, their key partner Bob Dole and Ketchum PR are Russia lobbyists.

That site doesn't exactly inspire trust, just based on the number and type of ads featured. My baloney detector is on code yellow.

Concur, and I didn't find much of substance in that article. My posting of the link should be construed simply as an aid to those who might wish to see what Giuliani was tweeting about rather than as any sort of endorsement.

I figured as much. If anything, it shows what kind of media environment Giuliani lives in that he even deigns to respond to fever swamp-type stories.

It seems like his responding to it is resulting in the Streisand effect.

Rosenstein will resign once Barr is confirmed.
I hope this means that Mueller is done with everything that can potentially be obstructed and buried.

MSNBC has just reported that Rosenstein is committed to staying on until Mueller releases his report.

Unless I heard it wrong.

Edited to add: Confirmed - they just said it clearly again. Not giving the source.

Senator Langford

"Trump had an ongoing relationship with the person he shot in the middle of Times Square...I don't see this as a deliberate murder."

(not a real quote for legal and pedantic reasons)

A few months ago, Langford was interviewed on PBS and I thought his comments (I don't recall the topic) were totally reasonable. Especially for an Okie politician.

He has consistently disappointed me more recently. My initial impression has not held up at all.

FWIW, They also said that the Mueller report will likely be out mid to late February. I hope that is true.

.@SenatorLankford says he doesn't think Trump's campaign boss giving polling data to person connected to Russian intel is collusion b/c Manafort knew the intel agent previously.

"This is an ongoing relationship that Manafort had...I don't see this as deliberate contact w/Russia"

Hmm. This does make me wonder.

If this were truly so, why did his lawyers try to redact that part of the filing?

Manafort conspired with the Russians to help Trump get elected. Only question now is what did Trump know about this and when.

Oh right, the oft-forgotten "we go way back" exemption presumed into the laws on international espionage and every non-disclosure agreement that exists.

Well, pack it up, everyone.

Your opinions on what does and does not constitute proper skepticism here in the socio-political domain are best ignored for two reasons, the least of which is it leads to the thread being, well, you know by now the verb that goes here. The other reason is how disassociated your rigid concepts are from how critical thinkers should evaluate /weigh evidence. And no, I don't intend to explain further, nor do I solicit a reply from you.

Here, I'll help him get started:

Now's the time for BETO!

O'Rourke hits El Paso streets to rebut Trump's immigration address

“The president using fear and anecdote to try to instill an anxiety and paranoia to build the political will to construct this wall that would cost $30 billion and take private property and cause death and suffering as more asylum seekers are pushed to ever more hostile stretches of the U.S.-Mexico border — that was what we heard from the Oval Office,” O’Rourke said. “And we need to meet that fear with the truth, with our ambition, with the best traditions of this country, a country of immigrants, and with the example of El Paso and Juárez.”

If ever there was a time to put BETO front and center it is right now. Read the rest of the article.

Sorry, wrong thread.
