Rejecting a claim does not mean accepting the opposite. You simply reject both claims.

I think the null hypothesis might help here: we move forward on the basis that George Clooney is not an alligator until such time as it can be demonstrated that he is.

This may or may not help with the Manafort issue.

[/pedantry]

Your opinions on what does and does not constitute proper skepticism here in the socio-political domain are best ignored for two reasons, the least of which is it leads to the thread being, well, you know by now the verb that goes here. The other reason is how disassociated your rigid concepts are from how critical thinkers should evaluate /weigh evidence. And no, I don't intend to explain further, nor do I solicit a reply from you.

Interesting. I will take this to the philosophy forum.

I gotta love how ridiculously purely you apply principles. Never mind that it makes them incompatible with reality, but somehow you always manage to make the principle look stupid, almost as if that's your whole point.

I'm pretty sure it is his point.

It's more like a stupid game played with epistemology.

DAVID ROBERTS: Well, epistemology is the branch of philosophy that deals with knowledge basically, how we gain knowledge and what justified belief it consists in. Basically, how we know things and what it means to know something.

CHRIS HAYES: The thing that I loved about philosophy is, you take a very banal, obvious thing, and start asking questions, and within a few questions you would be like, "Whoa."

DAVID ROBERTS: Exactly. You realize that no one knows anything.

CHRIS HAYES: We don’t actually have any answers, right? So, when someone says to me, "How do you know the world is round?" Right? I say, "Well, it was taught to me." "Well, who taught it to you?" "Well, my teachers." "Well, how do they know?" "Well, scientists." "Well, which scientists?" "I don't know." "How'd the scientist know?" Actually as I'm playing this out right now, I don't actually know the answer to that. Like, I literally I don't know the answer to the question of ... well, obviously now we have satellites and all that stuff, but like before we got into space, like how did they know, but they knew, right?

Or as you have coined, "a denial of knowledge," IIRC.

With Manafort now admitting to working with the Russians, we are able to see the real reason why Trump wants his government shutdown to continue.

Trump would much rather be seen bitching and complaining about a somewhat serious issue like people sneaking across the southern border as opposed to having to deal with the Muller issue which is now banging on the front door of the White House.

Rosenstein will resign once Barr is confirmed.
I hope this means that Mueller is done with everything that can potentially be obstructed and buried.

(not a real quote for legal and pedantic reasons)

Denial-of-knowledge attack (DOK), a play on "denial-of-service attack". Pretend that you don't understand anything about any aspect or sub-aspect of the topic and bog everything down until the discussion becomes entirely ineffective.

Certainly not with Trump in office.

And in general. Here is the most recent (non acting DAGs)

Yates
Cole
Ogden
Filip
McNulty
Comey
Thompson
Holder (1997-2001)

You have to go all the way back to Holder to find one that made full AG. And even he went private sector for 8 years. Comey made FBI director after 8 years in the private sector.
