I like Carlson, but not because of any race stance he takes. I like him because he doesn't tolerate BS and generally gets to the point of issues quickly. I do see his conservative bias, but I also see him being an important voice these days in a world filled with echo chambers.

It's generally a terrible format for comparing opposing points of view - and that's true whether it's the single-person panels of Fox News or the shouty panels of CNN. Much as I like watching Rick Wilson threatening to gut someone like a fish, that's just entertainment.

(for the record, any of those racist, antisemitic, homophobic ******** should all get together and enjoy each others presence) I hope for a day when people can forget about race and concentrate on more important things. Last week he invited Michael Avenatti on his show. Avenatti agreed to do it with certain conditions. One was that Tucker wouldn't talk over him. And two, that Carlson wouldn't refer to him as the creepy porn lawyer which Carlson had been doing for months. Carlson broke both conditions. Not only did he talk over Avenatti he ran a banner at the bottom of the screen which referred to Avenatti as the creepy porn lawyer and that banner was there for the entire interview.

Seriously, how do you respect someone who promises something and then breaks that promise 30 seconds later and does it sneakily? Do you think that deception is admirable?

Yes, and one can hold the opinion that the earth is flat and accelerating upwards through space, which is why everything doesn't just float off of it. Or one may hold the modern view of the universe, or at least some reasonable approximation that serves better to explain the solar system.

You're right - it's Dolt 45's words and actions that show that he is a white supremacist (and I'm not repeating the same long list again, feel free to do a forum search), and Carlson's rhetoric which is exactly like that of white supremacists over the past 100 years or so - I recall his anti-diversity rants as the exact same as those used by violent racists during the school integration riots in Boston a few decades ago, as one example. It's not about appearing at an event with someone, or being photographed with them. When you get right down to it, Obama denounced racial violence, the NOI's teachings, and so forth. Carlson and Cheeto Benito have instead embraced them.

I never liked him but he's not dumb. I read some articles that Carlson wrote about 10 years ago. They were thoughtful although I didn't agree with some of his conclusions. He's basically a whore.but not a good whore. By this, I mean he sold his soul to the Fox News narrative where truth and integrity is sacrificed every day to promote the Fox News Republican narrative. He's a phony, not a moron.

OK, so you are fine with agreeing to something to get what you want, then breaking that agreement once you have it.

This establishes your integrity level at gutter level; right down there with Giuliani, Carlson, Hannity, Trump and the vast majority of the GOP in congress.

This is also why I am no longer a Christian. I still remember the discussion I had with my pastor when I left the church. His final argument why I should believe was Pascal's wager. That I should choose to believe something I didn't because I lose nothing if there isn't a God and if there is a God, I get to go to heaven not hell. I thought of this as lying. If there was a God and he knew my heart and mind he would see through that insincerity.

I don't see the civil war. And yes the stakes may be high, but I remain optimistic. Trump is ABSOLUTELY DESPISED by 55 percent of the public. Maybe half of the hard core Trump supporters actually likes this guy and I may be overestimating that number. Everyone has made a deal with the devil. What happens when the deal sours? What happens when the boom economy goes bust? The farm states are getting killed by the tariffs. The number of coal jobs hasn't materialized and are highly unlikely to.
