14 days for Papadopoulos?
That sounds pretty short for perjury.
That sounds pretty short for perjury.
14 days for Papadopoulos?
That sounds pretty short for perjury.
A defense filing last week claimed Papadopoulos said before he was charged that he was asked by the FBI if he would “actively cooperate and contact various people” and that he replied that he was willing to try. “Active” cooperation in court papers often means wearing a wire or recording phone calls to get associates talking on tape. The filing doesn’t say whether Papadopoulos ever employed such tactics.
Well of course not, Obama ain't President any more.

The US didn't recognise North Vietnam as a country : that's why you never heard talk of the border between North and South, only the De-Militarised Zone.I'm pretty sure it would have to be a declared war. At least, I believe that is why Jane Fonda was never charged with treason for collaborating with North Vietnam. Vietnam was certainly a shooting war, but the US never actually declared war on North Vietnam.
I'm of the same mind. As and when the US and Russia do go to war there will be no doubt about it.In any event, I'm pretty sure that Russia does not qualify as an "enemy" of the US, at least as far as charging Trump (or anybody else) with treason for colluding with them.

The defense portrayed Papadopoulos as an eager campaign aide who was in over his head, and pushed back on claims by the prosecution that he had harmed the FBI investigation.
"The president of the United States hindered this investigation more than George Papadopoulos ever could," his lawyer said.
Trump hailed the relatively short sentence as a "great day for America" and pointed to the cost of Mueller's investigation.
I am not a Democrat, that said, if the Democrats were to run Senator Tammy Duckworth, Trump would get hammered in the General Election.
Part of me, a tiny part, wants Trump to survive both physically and "Presidentally" until the 2020 debates. That'll be some fun times.
"Mr. President, you claimed on multiple times that new steel mills were opening. At one time you claimed six new mills were opening. There have been no openings, and there were many from the steel industry who claimed that there were no plans to open new mills. Do you have any comment on this?"
"That's fake news."
"I can roll a tape of you claiming all that I just said."
"You doctored the tape."
Democrat challenger asks for a chair, sits back and smiles.
I see not many bit on that question. That is one of the better answers I've seen given to it. I think if democrats want to have a chance in the election, they should start bolstering support for someone strong now. I think a "new face" like her is a much better idea than some of the more prominent choices.
Well of course not, Obama ain't President any more.

14 days for $28 MILLION - $2 MILLION a day, No Collusion. A great day for America!
NOTE: The $7.7 million the Mueller investigation has actually cost (not $28 million) is EXACTLY one-tenth of what America has paid for Trump to go golfing since his inauguration.
That's right: his golfing has cost us $77 million.
Me, too.Hmm. After Elizabeth Warren's recent anti-corruption law proposal, I'm somewhat pointedly in favor of her, to be quite honest.

I like Liz Warren a LOT.
Me, too.
If Sanders runs, I'll back both of them and support whoever seems to be doing better towards the end, and working to create unity between the two camps as members of the same "wing" of the Democratic party.
I like Liz Warren a LOT.
There's also a year of probation plus a fine.
I think a short sentence is entirely appropriate. The FBI has a very bad habit of nailing people for process crimes when there is no underlying criminal activity. It's very troubling, and should be generally discouraged. And in the long run, it's going to be counter-productive, because it's creating a very strong incentive to never talk to the FBI at all, whether you're innocent or guilty.

HI! Seth is lying again. The $7.7 million figure was through March of 2018, and does not take into account the $9 million plus spent by other Justice Department groups assisting the investigation, again only through MARCH. Note that Seth failed to mention these facts, probably because he is a totally incompetent conman.
