I don't care about it.

Trebuchet seems to.

All I was doing was pointing out that the solution he proposed wouldn't necessarily prove anything.

Since there appears to be no evidence worth crediting that Warren ever used her ancestry, whatever it may be, to gain advantages she didn't earn on her own, I think the whole thing is just more totally unfounded Republican slime throwing.

I was actually talking about Trebuchet's post. I was joining your chorus. I should have been more clear about that.

Which will pretty much be faced by any Democratic Party candidate. Because she was mentioned earlier, Tammy Duckworth, for example, has a whole host of similarly innocent things about her for the GOP to try to smear. Born in Thailand? Expect Birtherism 2.0. Asian American? She'll cozy up to our Chinese "enemies." Disabled? Unfit to serve for health reasons. The list goes on, of course.

I don't and can't understand why you or anyone would care about this. Even if it could be proved, (and it is questionable that it could) what does it prove beyond her being mistaken about something entirely irrelevant.
I agree with the sentiment.
And this is so typical, the GOP tosses out a BS accusation, in this case worse because it wasn't just the GOP, it was Trump making up an insult on top of it, and the Democrat immediately goes on the defensive.

Don't fall for it, Trebuchet. To quote Hillary, the queen of putting up with BS accusations, "What difference does it make?"

Even if she'd sought and gotten some grant or position based on a mistaken belief, look who is making the ******* accusation!

There's supposed to be Blackfeet Indian in my ancestry. It didn't show up in my brother's DNA quest. Know what else didn't show up? Much German. My last name is a German name, we know there are German ancestors on my dad's side. They immigrated here in the late 1800s and became farmers in Kansas. There's no if or maybe about it.

What difference does it make?

As for running for POTUS, no, please, no Bernie and no Warren. Give me a well rounded intelligent person like Cory Booker or Tammy Duckworth. I would elaborate but this is the wrong thread.

Warren can't win ANYTHING trying to prove with a DNA test that she has some native American blood in her. By even dignifying such a suggestion is playing into their game.

******* NOBODY is deciding on Warren's suitability to hold office on this so who gives a flying ****!

If someone even brought it up to me. I'd say go away until they want to discuss something that matters.

I would bet somebody is. There are a LOT of voters out there. It doesn't take a large percentage before we are discussing it swaying the results in a possible future election.

Plus she is a woman, so she needs to lock down so many excuses to not vote for her.

Of course you would Bob. I feel as usual that you dont have a clue.

And no she doesn't. I ABSOLUTELY believe that if someone says that they care about this they''re dumber than a box of rocks. Or they are lying. It's a faux issue.

I absolutely agree that they are dumb or lying.

The dumber than a box of rocks people vote. The question is how many do, and how many would have their behaviour swayed by this issue, and if you can do anything about it.

As we have seen from Papadopoulos, the danger from a perjury itself isn't high: people who fear it aren't worrying about being caught lying, but revealing a larger crime.
"Perjury Trap" is narrowly defined for those cases were a prosecutor has nothing else to charge a suspect with.

Lolz, he is very well known and respected attorney who writes in an easily accessible and very entertaining fashion.

Look up Popehat.

Or contradict anything he wrote.

I’m kidding about the last part because there is no chance that will ever happen.

You don't think johnny karate can contradict anything Popehat writes. Do you think you would be able to on any subject of law? Or is he a lawyer that you will admit knows more about the law than you do?

Well, since 3.5 + 4.2 is 7.7, I'm going to assume that this is you saying that you're not prepared to quote the parts of your links that you think support your argument.

Where are you getting those figures from? Neither are in the links you've provided.

Adjusted for the tax cut and to allow for the hyper-inflation that Trump naturally puts on any figure he quotes and the cost of living increase that will be made mandatory by the extra few hundred billion in debt we're accruing.

The crime only exists because of the investigation. Absent the investigation, there would be no crime.

That's just a repeat of what you said earlier. I asked for clarification, not repetition.

Every act of perjury wouldn't exist without some sort of investigation. So what?

I understand that. Now, do you understand what a perjury trap is?

I'm not excusing anyone's behavior. I'm criticizing the FBI's. Do you understand the difference? Do you not get why the FBI shouldn't be routinely pursuing people on process charges when there's no underlying crime?

How is that relevant in any way? He lied. It's not the FBI's fault.

Mueller isn't interested in what Trump might or might not lie about.
At this point, Mueller is just dotting i's and crossing t's, and one of the is to give the President the chance to state his side of the story;
if Mueller didin't the TrumpFans would cry foul that bias because Mueller only listened to anti-trumpers.
