Interesting. Because this 'witch hunt' keeps finding actual witches flying around on broomsticks..
 
Avenatti is TBD's only joy these days. Trump is a criminal and is clearly in Putin's back pocket. And TBD is still blindly goose-stepping behind his Fuhrer.

What came out today was huge. Trump is doing nothing about Ukraine because he can't. His buildings are totally populated by LLCs mostly Russian and Saudi owned. The America first President is the Russia first President.
 
Avenatti matters not a whit. What matters is that it was proved that Stormy Daniels was telling the truth and that Trump was lying as usual. The Trump supporters can dance around the bonfire thinking they had some great victory if it makes them feel better. It's all they've got about now.

Many parents would say if it would save their kids they'd throw themselves under the wheels of a bus. Do you really think Trump could even understand that attitude? If it comes down to it he will throw them under a bus to save himself.
 
Interesting that Mueller was able to do all this without Whitaker doing anything to block him. That almost makes it look like Whitaker is not actually overseeing the Special Counsel's investigation. Hmmm!

Whitaker has as good as zero legal experience - Mueller might have sent him all his plans buried in a pile of reports and couched in legalese, and Whitaker wouldn't have realized what was about to happen.

OK, but I've just seen a report from Nicole Wallace which says Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein is still actually overseeing the investigation.

He signed off on the plea deal with Micheal Cohen, so seems that they are still running the show for the moment.

Time to buy shares in popcorn I believe.

And that may be what triggered Donnie's recent spate of accusations. Good Patriot Whitaker is too Trump-like (read: incompetent) and they've worked around him and they're in a corner. The good little foot soldiers for Trump can't figure out how the DoJ works so they run to Trump. "Waaaah, the big meanies won't stop investigating. Make the bad men pay, boss!" And Trump dutifully whips out his super weapon.... the Tweet!

Popcorn is too bulky, maybe I should invest in popcorn makers, and then I could market unpopped corn by the bushel!

It may well be that Whitaker has simply been sidelined in the DoJ; kept out of the decision making loop. Remember, he is under an active fraud investigation by the FBI over the World Patent Marketing thing. Maybe it has been made clear to him that if he pokes his nose anywhere near the Special Counsel's investigations, the FBI might prioritize their look into his affairs.

It's worth noting that the FTC briefed the Senate two days ago about subpoenas targeting Whitaker....

.... I have some trouble believing that the timing of this briefing and the release of the Cohen guilty plea and allocution are a coincidence.
