Mother Teresa was no saint

If it needs explaining to you that someone who tortured sick and dying people for her invisible friend's enjoyment is probably not the best example of "Christian Ideals", then I can't help you.
Are atheists and agnostics incapable of similar lunacy?

No. Absolutely, unqualified, no if-and-or-buts no.

How ls card-stacking an impartial attempt to find truth?

It's not. That's my point. Trials are an adversarial process where both sides try to stack the cards in their favor by eliminating unsympathetic jurors.

If trials were like a discussion forum, the defense could focus on offering actual evidence to counter the claims in the OP, rather than complaining about the jurors.

If she were really on trial, Atheists would be deemed unsuitable jurors because of the well-known notorious propensity which atheists have for downgrading all that’s religious including persons of prominent religious reputations who might give deism more credence. Are you an atheist?

I have no religion. If it is easier for you to call me an atheist feel free. I'm not judging her on her beliefs. I'm condemning things she did which caused suffering of others. Do you see some morality in her cruelty?

Are you a theist? Catholic perhaps?

[What leads you to believe that principles of fairness cease to apply away from a courtroom?

Whether or not you have religion doesn't really give any indication on whether or not you're an atheist. There are atheists who have religion (eg, Scientology) and theists who have no religion (eg, Deists).

Good point!

As a Catholic kid, I sent her my allowance money many times, in for-the-Mother drives at school.
This thread is actually the first I'm hearing about this stuff regarding her.

Excuse me but that's the most stupid question any atheist has asked me so far.
If the latter, you are quite wrong. Even in the best of all available courts fairness is easily trumped by law, the worldview of the judge and the ability of the lawyers to make truth die swinging about slowly in the wind that is their breaths.

It is also worth asking what has happened to this money. Has the Church simply pocketed it?

I think this is pretty much the point.

Gather 100 Catholics and give them a week to study the factual life of Mother Teresa, including references pro and con, and I think most would come away shocked.

The only good she did was to have her private diary published so that we could study how a woman of such faltering faith allowed that faith to misguide her so horribly.

Then to clarify, I don't have any religious beliefs.

Brian seems to be missing from that list.

:D Gordon's ALIVE!

It is true that it's possible that religion can produce evil, and generally when we look closer at the detail it produces evil because the individual people are actually living in a rejection of the tenets of Christianity and a rejection of the God that they are supposed to be following. So it can produce it, but the historical fact is that outright rejection of God and institutionalizing of atheism actually does produce evil on incredible levels. We're talking about tens of millions of people as a result of the rejection of God.[1]

You realise that this argument is a non-starter don't you? Especially when you use conservapedia. Good grief.
