Mormons Can't Use the Internet?

They cam to my house one day, and told me they had spoken to husband the previous Wednesday, and he wanted them to come back to speak with them some more. I knew they were mistaken for two reasons. One, my husband is Buddhist. More importantly, the Wednesday in question we were at the hospital all day giving birth to our youngest son. Actually I was giving birth, but he was there too. From 7:00 a.m. to almost midnight. I politely told them they were wrong. But they continued to come back, every couple of weeks getting more and more insistent that they were going to speak to my husband. I was getting pretty nervous by this time. Then one day, they came up the walk and I grabbed my portable phone and met them at the door. One of them grabbed my screen door and tried to force his way into my house (he didn't succeed, the screen door was locked). That's when I threatened them with the police. I was very scared. Home by myself with three young children and some really angry guy trying to bust his way in. Like that attitude is going to convert me to their religion.

Like I said, I don't get any Mormons anymore, and really get fewer proselytizers of other denominations since I placed the large Buddha sculpture in my front garden.

Wow, what a jerk! I'm sorry that happened to you. That is not the standard behavior and in fact is against the rules of conduct.

I'm sure it is. I know that people can be rotten no matter their religious affiliation.

Still, I notice every time the Mormons are in my neighborhood. Even though they don't come to my door anymore.

not such a bad idea, that they're roaming your neighborhood.

if they're out and about, people will be less likely to pull of sneaky stuff like rob your house.

Clever crooks could always dress up as missionaries and case the neighborhood for easy marks. Hey maybe they do.
