More Truther Legaltainment!

Well to be fair, even if he's talking about just the USA that's well under 1% of the population.

I am reminded of the south park quote about 9/11.

"At this time 1/4 of the population believes 9/11 was a conspiracy. Are you saying 1/4 of the population is retarded."

"Yes, at least 1/4."

Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me to find out that there are a ton more truthers than we think. After all, if they're truthers it's doubtful most of them are intelligent enough to find ways to express themselves.

We're just dealing with the highest tier of truthers on these boards.

Millions of 9/11 Truth believers? Absolutely. The Zogby Poll of 2008 showed 4% of the U.S. population believed the government brought down the WTC buildings on 9/11. Polls in Germany show much higher percentages.

Oh and regarding the South Park quip, that same Zogby Poll showed 25% of Americans believe the government let 9/11 happen. That much higher figure probably comes from the fact that the media made so much about Bush ignoring the national security memos that were pouring in warning of a major attack. Some people in the government knew something was going to happen, but the Bush administration did nothing. So 25% of Americans believe the government let it happen... well, I believe that myself, that the government let it happen through sheer laziness and bureaucratic inertia and the unwillingness to believe this attack was actually going to happen, etc. I believe in incompetence, I really do. I also subscribe to the Vulture Theory, that Bush/Cheney took advantage of 9/11 like vultures on carrion to increase their power, take us into an unjustified war, etc.

and as South Park pointed out at least that percentage of the population are dumb as dirt. Point is that is doesn't really matter what they think as they do not do anything about it. Stupid people believe stupid things. Religion has been making a good living off that fact for millenia.

Who is "the government"? You talk as if it is one sentient being when its not.
and as to the vulture theory, of course they did, thats politics, the art of the possible. 911 made some things possible and that included settling a long running score with Saddam.

Well, 7% of the US population still thinks Elvis is alive. Don´t think that is proof of anything, but the fact that there are nutcases present in every nation of this world.

What is truely interresting is the possible corrolation between the 25% of all americans that believes that the government let it happend, and 25% rate of mental illnesses in the US. Just a thougth.

Wow, their power was so great they left office. Now that is power, not as good as FDR. Did Clinton do the office pizza party to increase his power?

Too bad you did not work for the government, so you could stop 911; you must of known since you believe the memos clearly outlined 911. What? No real clue what was going to happen? Oh, no clue the cockpit would be rushed and the pilots killed in seconds? I thought you said...

so you were to lazy to warn us of 911? Thanks

"Let's do the math. There's four of us. You're a retard. That's 25%."

Hahaha it's by far one of my top 5 favorite episodes of South Park. Mostly cause of Mr. Mackey's colorful explanations of the turd in the toilet.

On topic here, I noticed MM blatantly ignored Lash's request from him to answer her post...par for the course. Not to put this individual on the level of an athlete, but if any professional athlete gets into any form of trouble (drugs, DUI, etc) then they are ridiculed, fined by the league, and made to give back to the community. Generally it's national news. If this individual respected his goals, and the goals of the organization he chose to represent then he should have controlled himself. If he doesn't possess the ability to do something like that, then what on earth would make you believe that he is telling the truth or a trust worthy individual to follow at all?

My mommy used to say you are who you surround yourself with.

This story would have been infinitely better if he walked into a kitchen only to be greeted by Chris Hansen....

I gather that on December 7th the case disposition was postponed to January 25, 2012.

No updates yet on that docket report.

I've been searching the official records as well, but nothing in relation to this case. (Search for Badillo Manuel.)

http://www.mypalmbeachclerk.com/officialrecords.aspx

Last year a repossession order was made for court costs (in relation to a reckless driving conviction, I think) and we've seen in this thread that he couldn't afford a lawyer, but in October he requested planning permission to have his house re-roofed. No comment, other than that seems odd...

Now I can't get through to the official records documents, but maybe someone else will have more luck anon.

Been thinking...

Would the results of the case get published? Here, I think child sex offenders are controversially protected by law, ostensibly to protect the victims.

What's the law in Florida?

Not sure about Florida, but in most US states, it's quite the opposite from what you're saying. They put folks convicted of sex crimes on "sex offender registries" and their name, photo and address are published to the world.

For example, here is the Illinois page, where you can search for offenders by name, address, etc.

http://www.isp.state.il.us/sor/

Here in Florida, it's actually required that when a sex offender is released into the community, they have to register within 24 hours of release, and must give a physical address as to where they are living. Then, the local sheriff canvasses the neighborhood and distributes flyers to indicate that a SO is moving in.

It includes what their charge is, and if their victim was a minor. They don't tell you much else about the victim though.

I will see what I can find about our pal Manuel.
