Some people don't have a clue as to how to be gracious. MM hates Bush (and America) so much that instead of asking his minions to respect the results of our democracy and come together as a nation he petulantly shuts his website and hides in shame.

www.michaelmoore.com

Moore did his best to smear Bush...millions saw his film....and the result was a French award, and hollywood adulation while the majority of Americans saw through the lies and re-elected our President.

Go on and hide Mikey...Jesus still loves you....but everyone else thinks you're an a$$hole.

Perhaps, now that the election is over, Moore thought he ought to replace his election-centered material with updated stuff? So took it down until he gets the new pages made?

I don't know what was on his site before, I don't recall ever visiting it.......but if you hit the Arrow button below the picture on the main page you will find it takes you to a page with what I presume are all the usual headers.

Mikes Message,

Are these the petulantly shut areas or was there something else?

or he just decided to make a poignant message on the main page

every one of those young men and women in that collage are rotting in the ground instead of with their family or training at a military base for a war that's actually necessary.

don't be such a poor winner. Bush won. Be happy. All will be right with the world with him in charge. After his successful first term I eagerly await the fantastic results of his leadership in store for us in the next four years. Only 50 million people voted against him. He has clear mandate from the people to continue his responsible and effective policies.

no, that's his usual website. Seems Rizkilla jumped the gun. He didn't close his website.

- Rik, did you get this from some right-wing blog or something and just not click your own link?

- Oh no no, the few, snaggling slivers of silver lining on this whole dark mushroom cloud include four more years of Moore, Air America, and other liberal speakers ready to pounce on Bush in an effort to TRY to hold him accountable for some of his actions (no admitted mistakes yet, but hang in there, maybe in the 2008 presidential debates Bush will have thought of something).

Poor wording on the splash page. The site is still there.

No post-election "Message from Mike" yet. His last message was during the election with 2 hours to go. I had heard a rumble about exit polls not matching the outcome and that this was a sign that there was possible fraud. Maybe he is busy chasing that story.

Oh well I am sure that Rik is man enough to admit he made a mistake, or perhaps changes the thread title to MOORE DOESN'T SHUT DOWN HIS WEBSITE...OR RUN AWAY TO CRY

I would think that the Republicans would pay to keep Michael Moore in business...and possibly give him a medal.

After all, he pretty much single handedly mobilized a large number of Republicans to show up and vote for Bush, while at the same time getting young liberals to go to the movies, sit around and bitch, and feel so good about it that they stayed home on election day (at least about 4 million of them seemed to have).

In Rizkilla's defense, all his intelligence sources told him that he had indeed closed his website. But Michael Moore is an evil-doer and the forum is better with this post.

He is going to be busy for four more years now, are you kidding? The Bush administration will probably do enough outrageous things to fill two or three more movies.

That is exactly what conservatives like myself are hoping for. MM is probably one of our best assets. It's like OBL implicitly endorsing Kerry. What more could a conservative ask for?

Keep up the good work, Moore. You're doing just fine.

Seems to me your guy went from a shoo-in to a one-state victory, in large part thanks to MM.

I still get a kick out of the demonization of Michael Moore. He makes some documentaries and writes some book criticizing the administration and he's mentioned in the same breath as Osama bin Laden.

Does he use some stuff out of context, maybe practices some creative editing? Yes. Of course, this is done on a daily basis by FoxNews, CNN and every other media outlet out there. And manipulating information to make a point is done by every government out there as well.

But Michael Moore is anti-American. He's dangerous. Hell, he's overweight!!! How dare he speak for the everyday man! He is as dangerous as our dreaded, mortal enemies...the French.

- Meh, if it wasn't Moore, it would be someone else. Demonization is SOP, don'tcha know. There has to be someone to hate, preferably several someones.

It's a conspiracy against Moore. Roger Smith and GM are getting their revenge for Roger and Me by buying off conservative columnists nationwide!

It will be even more entertaining to watch people slam whomever decides to look into Diebold and the promise to "deliver Ohio" to Bush. Even though things like this should always be looked into, regardless of party affiliation.
