Yep. He did the same staring into space and not responding. I would not doubt that it's happened more often than is being caught on camera.
 
Must be the stress of being in Washington, poor little guy. And so young too! Isn't his species supposed to have another century or so of lifespan?
 
One of a handful of our most powerful elected leaders whose dementia medicine clearly isn't up to scratch. He and Sen. Feinstein should get a nice shady retirement condo together where they can sit on the porch and reminisce about having tea with the Kaiser.

Perhaps he was simply stunned to be reminded that he has to be elected and the job isn't his forever.
 
"He couldn't hear the question." What a load of BS. The aide who quickly ran to his side tried to talk to him and he didn't respond. Hearing her was not the issue.

Interesting that the aide was right there, ready to respond. Clearly he's had more than one other petit mal seizure.

That was my first reaction as well. If he wasn't such an evil piece of **** his whole career, I'd actually feel sorry for him.

At this point, I assume his family is hoping for him to die on the job, because having to care for him at home is a fate too horrible to contemplate.

Missing time. It's an absence seizure.

The bigger takeaway is that no one around him was even remotely surprised this time. He must be going downhill even faster behind closed doors.
