Lord Emsworth said:
I don't see what the great thing would be your God has done. He has given His Son? Fine, but how much is that for a God who is omnipotent, and all that? A further point is that His Son must (after your religion) be still around, as I've shown in points 1a-c. So, He gives his Son, only that this Son is not gone but still there!
Huh? Excuuuse me
Of course He did. And not just once ...
"Perfect" creation going against Him back in Eden, and things becoming worse after that.
So, He decides to fix things with a flood and leave only one family with which He was content.
But nooo, things are going down the gutter again. Even His chosen people needs commandements and all that, and still cannot keep them. And not to speak about the other, non-chosen, peoples.
Despite the earlier fixes and updates things become so bad that He tries to fix them, again. This time by "giving" His Son.
And yet, and yet, and yet He didn't succeed. There is going to be (after your religion) an end battle, including rapture and everything.
No pets but I, too, will make an example:
I leave you to chose between picking up, say, a ball and to leave it where it is. You of course feel that you are free to choose to either leave it or pick it up.
But now I put a gun to your head and say, "Pick up the ball and I repaint the wall with your brains." How much of a free choice is that still?
I doubt that you would choose to pick it up, but I make things worse. Even if you only want to pick up the ball, and no matter if you do it, I am going to shoot you. The merest, remotest wish to pick it up will seal your fate. Where is your free choice now?
But I can't, don't you see that. To become saved, I would have to accept deep down in my heart and not just utter an empty statement. Come to that I would have to do it on blind faith. This is impossible, for me.
No, He will at first "leave me behind" and later send me to hell, eternally.
Benevolent, eh?
I hope you won't break down under the weight of your guilt which you have to bear and live a happy life. Seriously
You sound like a child in 1st grade crying because He don't like the rules of his circumstances. The child has no choice but to accept or rebel. Regardless of what He choses, there will be consequences.
You think you were born to alter the rules/guidlines/the way it is?
No. Sorry. You were not.
God is the creator and you are the creation. It is He who sits on the thrown, not you. It is He, that keeps all together, not you.
Since there has been net access. I've noticed people like you. You think if you whine loud enough that it will alter something with God or make a difference in the end for you somehow.
God is the creator.
You are the creation.
When you can part the water, then you can listen to yourself. Until then. I would suggest you repent and know your creator.
...and stop crying. Try understanding for once. ("But nooo...")
