The end results? At Judgement day? By then you've alredy walked the path that you've chosen. And if you've chosen the wrong one, you're going to hell. Look Lyndale, if you'll only know if your path was the right one when it's all over, you are just one of many, MANY people who are 100 % sure they walk the right path. Can you tell me what distinguishes you from a misguided individual who walks on the wrong path?

If I understand correctly, you're saying that Satan is the one who's making children terminally ill and God doesn't stop him because we all need free will, right. But why didn't God just destroy Satan and give us free will. Does he really need Satan? Ok, now you're going to say that he needs him to tempt us so we can resist him and prove that we're worthy of his love.
But why would God test us at all? Or better yet, what's the purpose of all that he created (us included). Is this all a game for God's amusement?

Lets say sitting in front of you is buffet. One filled with all kinds of imaginable feasts.

If you saw someone come over to it now and started "taking" away from it. It would lessen it. Make it less valuable then what it is.

Its kinda like the same way with creation.

In His time, things well be done. Not ours. He gave His greatest gift, Jesus. To redeem man.

God formed us
satan deformed us
Jesus reformed us.

When you start a walk. You usually know before hand something ...to what may lay ahead. Has you begin your walk it will be or it will not be what you learned forehand.

Why don't you just try. Give Jesus one chance and live and do all "like" He said. Do so and I promise you with all my heart...it will be one of the most difficult things you've ever done, but I promise you.......believe it or not.............you'll be happier, you'll know your Father in heaven, ....you'll have the Holy Spirit of God with in you.....you'll have an unseen relationship with His Son.................This is true what I tell you......It's not false.......
The words of Jesus are true. His creditials are witnessed and bear record. ........but if you ever do walk the path of Jesus.......don't alter it.......to do so........would make it a false path and failure will be your end.

Gotta go for awhile.....be back later.

He created a creation with many possilbe varibles.

Well, why don't He just do something? Look who He is.
(my opinion), I believe it would lessen, the purpose, if He did so.

Can't He do anything to fix it?
He did, He gave the GREATEST GIFT HE HAD, JESUS.

Two points:

1. Is it really such a big thing to give, or as it is very often put, to sacrifice his Son if

a) we assume that said Son lived a perfect sinless live as a man and would go to heaven anyway

b) said Son was not just a man but God (omnipotent and everything) himself

c) some claim to know for sure that said Son is going to return.

So, I completely fail to see were this was such a big thing to do. Were exactly is the gift, the loss, the sacrifice?

2. Why did He fail in trying to fix things? Why in the first place does he have to fix things?

Sure, He didn't want to create robots and gave us free will, but why does he get mad when we do not the right things? When you leave somebody a choice, and then proceed to punish this person when he choses the thing you don't like, then you cannot really call it free choice.

Another thing:

I don't feel that I really have a choice, to believe (or not) in God. As of now, I can't believe. If I said I did it would be an utter lie.

And god said unto Adam: "Here, I created everything just for you, because I love you. Just as long as you do what I say, you'll be fine. If you disobey me in any way you're going to hell for all eternity. Now have fun and do whatever you like!"

This reminds me of something a comedian George Carlin said:

Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But He loves you.
The full thing is here.

Let me clarify something. Though my sentence structures, grammer and spelling .............suck greatly.

I am very intelligent.
Let me make this clear.

I am not doubting your intelligence. I am sure you are very intelligent and strong-willed, if not physically strong as well.

But there are some challenges that one man's intelligence, or will, or strength, cannot defeat alone. Some challenges need the help of other trusted people to be defeated. From what you have said here, I believe that your demon challenge is one of these.

I am not making fun of your intelligence. Far from it. I am just now giving the nature of your challenge the respect it deserves. Please, demonstrate your intelligence and willpower by bringing your challenge to the attention of a trusted person in some position of authority.

You owe it to yourself.
You owe it to God.
You owe it to your children.

1. a/answer/...He lived the sinless life "to be a perfect/ACCEPTABLE sacrafice...........Great was the damage and EQUAL would be the repair........His Son.

1. b/answer/...I believe (by a great percentage), that when their is referrence to God and Jesus being the "same"....(my opinion)..its kinda referring more to...., that "they are of the same mind set". In agreement. Think as one.

1. c/answer/...He said He would. So we/I believe Him. When He comes this time...it will not be as a lamb....it will be as a lion.

"So, I completely fail to see were this was such a big thing to do. Were exactly is the gift, the loss, the sacrifice?".....again...
Great was the damage...so great would be the solution....His only Son.

"2. Why did He fail in trying to fix things? Why in the first place does he have to fix things?"

Fail? He didn't fail, in His task. He made a way.
He didn't have to fix anything, but because..... "God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever should believe in Him would not perish but have everlasting life."
....Thank God.

"...why does he get mad when we do not the right things? When you leave somebody a choice, and then proceed to punish this person when he choses the thing you don't like, then you cannot really call it free choice."

He gets mad when we has His creation do that which "goes against His nature". He calls this sin.

Do you own any Pets? Most do. Do we not make them mind? This is a poor example of what I am saying, but never the less...the point is there.

You are free to do whatever you like.............BUT............
in the end.......your decisions will lead you to one of two conclusions...........and it "is"......."your"........."free will" ....."choice".

So, I owe nothing...............now.........do you get it?

Those faces are. What they are, I can only offer my opinion (has I have stated many times "my opinion").

When I first showed people these 'faces. Everyone said "oh you faked those pics...you added those faces".
Then.
When I told them everything...........they said......what you guys say today.
My point?...........Do you see the denial in these people? First this then that?
When I proved I didnt fake the pics.....they shifted their arguement to a new one...........this is "denial".
...and it has been a domino effect, of the same since.

Look. I'm not going to get into a semantics argument with you. You have a situation that you are going to need outside assistance to resolve. I am pleading with you to seek that outside assistance.

They are. What? My opinion, the fallen. Your opinion, my imagination. Fine. Stop reading this thread and responding and move on.
It's clear to both of us that you are not going to find the assistance you seek here, on this board. Why won't you seek assistance from someone, in a position of authority, who can actually help you deal with and eradicate these demons? What are you afraid of? Do you prefer living with these demons? Wouldn't you rather give your children a childhood spent with a father who didn't have these demons running his life?

But why didn't God just destroy Satan and give us free will. Does he really need Satan? Ok, now you're going to say that he needs him to tempt us so we can resist him and prove that we're worthy of his love.

Powa...

There is a reason God didn't destroy Satan. No... I wasn't going to say what you were expecting me to say. See, if God just destroyed Satan there in heaven as soon as Satan started rebelling, that would have shown to all of his creations, and the other angels that God gives you no choice but to serve Him, or else POOF, you're history. If God had destroyed Satan, all of God's angels and creations would have served him out of pure fear (not the "fear" that you read in the Bible to "Fear God", as in to give Him your respect, which is the way it was translated in those times... but the fear of a God who destroys any who don't serve Him). So God allowed the rebellion to take place. It set an example to all of God's holy angels remaining of what a terrible mistake it is to turn away from Him. Something that an immediate destroying of Satan would not have done. Now it should be understood that God still loves Satan just as much as He loves us. It is Satan's actions which He abhors.

Now I will mention, I firmly believe God has created other worlds where he has made other people/beings, or whatever you would choose to call them. It makes little sense to me that out of the whole universe, we happen to be the only inhabited planet. Even if there was a big bang creation, it wouldn't make much sense that our planet was the only one out of trillions to be inhabitable. But I believe that God has created them. So in reference to the rebellion, we are an example to any of the other beings in the universe as to what happens when you turn away from God. In the Garden of Eden, we only had ONE requirement as humans. Do not touch any of the fruit, and better yet, avoid the whole tree itself. When that boundary was broken, we as a human race broke apart our connection from God that Adam and Eve had prior to the fall. Almost certainly Satan would have been banished from the Garden of Eden after a certain time if we had not given in to any of his temptations; just like he was banished from heaven after a certain time. But Satan instead had a temporary victory by causing the fall of our race.

God didn't create us and this earth as a little board game to see what the outcome might be, or to enjoy seeing his subjects scurry around down below. God created us because He wanted more to love, and to have extra companionship. Of course he had His angels in heaven. But he created us unique, as people for Him to start a bond and companionship with. God visited Adam and Eve in the garden, shared a connection with them. It was OUR fault, as humans (not us particularly) that we broke that connection and allowed the chaos to unfold. But ultimately it was Satan who brought this upon us.

When you say "Why didn't God just destroy Satan and give us free will?", there is a pretty simple answer that. For one, God gave us the free-will in very beginning. He made it clear that we had a choice. Either we obey Him, just a very simple command that was given, or choose to disobey. If we had continued to follow God's command, God would have banished or destroyed Satan (this is my assertion) then are there, because we had shown that our devotion was to God only. God did not withhold from us what we could choose.

When we sit here in front of our computers, looking around the room, all of this may seem a bit ridiculous. There seems to be little or no evidence of God or a struggle between God and Satan, of angels, etc. We go about our lives of relative normality pretty oblivious to these signs. That is because we broke our connection with God long ago. Now we only reach Him through prayer and faith. Little by little we will begin to see more signs before the end, but now we live with a chosen barrier between us and God. That barrier is Satan. We can make the choice to move that barrier aside so nothing comes between us and God, but if that choice is not made Satan remains there, holding the separation between us and our salvation.

That's about all I have to say now. When I referred to "us or we" a lot of the time, in reference to making choices in the Garden of Eden and so forth, I was using those words as an easier way of describing it, but not referring to us in particular. Just the human race itself. I know I don't really hold back much when explaining my beliefs, but to provide my answers with the best clarity I can offer.

I don't see what the great thing would be your God has done. He has given His Son? Fine, but how much is that for a God who is omnipotent, and all that? A further point is that His Son must (after your religion) be still around, as I've shown in points 1a-c. So, He gives his Son, only that this Son is not gone but still there!

Huh? Excuuuse me

Of course He did. And not just once ...

"Perfect" creation going against Him back in Eden, and things becoming worse after that.

So, He decides to fix things with a flood and leave only one family with which He was content.

But nooo, things are going down the gutter again. Even His chosen people needs commandements and all that, and still cannot keep them. And not to speak about the other, non-chosen, peoples.

Despite the earlier fixes and updates things become so bad that He tries to fix them, again. This time by "giving" His Son.

And yet, and yet, and yet He didn't succeed. There is going to be (after your religion) an end battle, including rapture and everything.

No pets but I, too, will make an example:
I leave you to chose between picking up, say, a ball and to leave it where it is. You of course feel that you are free to choose to either leave it or pick it up.

But now I put a gun to your head and say, "Pick up the ball and I repaint the wall with your brains." How much of a free choice is that still?

I doubt that you would choose to pick it up, but I make things worse. Even if you only want to pick up the ball, and no matter if you do it, I am going to shoot you. The merest, remotest wish to pick it up will seal your fate. Where is your free choice now?

As a creature of free will, abandoning the skeptical process and ceasing to question anything/everything is akin to mental suicide. If there is a god who gave me free will and then told me to leave it to follow his path or suffer a penalty, I would say "so be it" and walk the path I choose, regardless of divine penalty.

And fer gawd's sakes stop harassing those poor demons! :D
